Yet another product first introduced at the 2015 SHOT Show by the O.F. Mossberg & Sons company is the new series of rimfire semi-automatic sporting carbines: Mossberg's Blaze and Blaze 47 lines are conceived for small game hunting, leisure shooting, and indoors or outdoors range plinking.

These fun-to-shoot .22 Long Rifle autoloaders feature a polymer receiver and are available in a plethora of stock versions, all featuring Mossberg’s innovative FLEX TLS (Tool-less Locking System) interchangeable recoil pad system. Affordable and easy on the shoulder, they are available with optional 10-rounds or 25-rounds detachable magazines.

An ideal choice for a first rifle, the Mossberg Blaze design incorporates a polymer receiver and action, housed in a durable synthetic (polymer) stock. The metal bolt, firing pin and bolt handle feature complementing blue finish as do the compact 16.5-inch barrels. Utilizing the durability of today’s highly-engineered polymers, this rugged rimfire weighs in at a mere 3 2/3 pounds and is easy-to-handle, even for a new or younger shooter. The Mossberg Blaze rifles come equipped with barrel-mounted rail or in Scoped Combo packages featuring Dead Ringer Monteria Green Dot sights, as well as with Mossberg's patented, ambidextrous top tang safety.

The Mossberg Blaze series autoloaders come with lightweight, rugged but classic classic synthetic stocks feature vented forends and choice of black or camo-dipped finishes (Kryptek Highlander, Muddy Girl or Wildfire Camouflage patterns). The Blaze Bantam, available in black synthetic, features a shortened, 12-inch length-of-pull (LOP) to comfortably fit a younger shooter or any adult requiring a reduced LOP.

On the other hand, the Blaze 47 replicates the look and feel of the popular AK-47 assault rifle design, and comes with adjustable fiber optic rear sight and raised front rifle sights; four versions are available, with wooden or black polymer furniture and with a choice of fixed stocks with 13 ½-inch length-of-pull (LOP) or lever-activated, 6-position adjustable LOP synthetic stock (11 ¼ - 14 inch) providing greater comfort for all shooters.
