New from Ruger for 2025: additional chamberings for Ruger Precision Rifles & 10/22 rifle with carbon fiber barrel sleeve

For this 2025 Ruger is already dropping new options for some of its most popular products. Let's start with the Ruger Precision Rifle (or RPR for short): introduced in 2015, the RPR now comes in its the latest edition with an improved design which includes a buttstock that allows for easy, intuitive and secure adjustment, a heavy contour cold hammer-forged barrel, an improved muzzle brake, a Magpul MOE-K2 vertical pistol grip and a black DLC-coated bolt.

The latest iteration of the Ruger Precision Rifle will be offered in three competition calibers – 6mm Creedmoor with , 6.5 Creedmoor, and .308 Winchester – as well as three magnum calibers: .300 Win Mag, .300 PRC and .338 Lapua Mag. There will also be Ruger Custom Shop RPRs chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, 6mm Creedmoor and 6mm GT (Custom Shop rifles feature an adjustable TriggerTech two-stage trigger, a stainless steel, heavy contour barrel with installed muzzle brake for felt recoil reduction; a barricade stop on the front of the magazine; and a gray Cerakote coating on the magazine well, handguard, and stock body). Prices in the US range from $2,149 to $2,799 depending on caliber and version.

Another mainstay in Ruger's catalog, the latest version of the 10/22 rimfire rifle is the lightest 10/22 in the the whole line, weighing in at less than 1,6 kg with a 16.1"/409 mm cold hammer-forged tensioned barrel with a carbon fiber sleeve. The manufacturer points out that in addition to the reduction in weight, the stainless steel tensioned barrel is more rigid, reducing vibration. Muzzle is threaded 1/2"-28 for the mounting of accessories. Stock is the lightweight Magpul MOE X-22, painted black with a textured splatter paint for improved grip. The stock features M-LOK attachment slots at the 6 o'clock position and integral sling loops for use with locking sling swivels. Trigger is a BX-Trigger with a light and crisp  2.5-3 pound (1,130-1,360 g approx.) pull weight with minimal overtravel and a positive reset. A one-piece aluminum scope rail is factory-installed. MRSP in the US for the Ruger 10/22 with Carbon Fiber Barrel Sleeve is $649.
