For many years, among Sako hunting and rifle enthusiasts the name Finnlight has traditionally been synonymous with lightness, robustness and reliability. There was a Finnlight version missing from the 90 series, and Sako has just made it available in a wide variety of calibers – eleven at the time of launch – and in a selection of three action sizes, S,M and L, as well as three barrel lengths – 508, 569 and 610 mm – all with threaded muzzle and fluted.
The Finnlight thus joins the Adventure, Bavarian, Hunter, Hunter Stainless, Peak, Quest, Quest Ultra and Varmint models already introduced by Finnish manufacturer Sako.

The Finnlight has a cold-hammer forged barrel and an all-stainless steel action; the three-lug bolt guarantees maximum safety, while the monolithic Picatinny rail on the action allows maximum freedom of choice for optics mounting. The stock is ergonomic and lightweight, made of weather-proof polymers, with high-grip panels and textures in a special synthetic material on the pistol grip and fore-end to ensure the best possible gun control even in adverse weather conditions, and is equipped with an adjustable cheek rest. The trigger, in Sako's tradition, is of excellent quality and is multi-adjustable with five different presets without disassembly, with the trigger blade being adjustable to the user's hand size.
