Winchester Ammunition launches a 20-gauge shotshell in its sporting-oriented AA "Tracker" line!

02/04/2014 - SHOT Show 2014 / New from Winchester: AA Tracker, line of sports shooting shotshells

One of Winchester Ammunition's most popular products for the year 2013 was definitely the AA "Tracker" (also known as "TrAAcker") line of shotshells, conceived for sports shooters − particularly skeet and trap shooters, and even more particularly beginners and hobby shooters rather than top-level competitors − who need an instinctive and practical load for training, enabling them to see clearly when and why they are missing. The AA "Tracker" shotshells' popularity has been booming with sports shooters worldwide ever since, and Winchester Ammunition decided to expand the line in 2014 with the addition of a 20-gauge chambering, featuring a 2.¾" shell and a 7/8 oz. load.

Essentially based on the standard AA shotshells so common and famous – a true mainstay of Winchester's ammunition products line – the AA “TrAAcker” line of shells has been conceived to enhance the training sessions of clay shooters and other sportsmen, and consists in a classic 1-1/8 oz. load with a lightweight, aerodynamic polymer wad that traps one eight of ounce in its own body when the shot is fired, and follows closely – but without causing disruption – the pattern all throughout its flight, acting as a readily visible tracker and allowing the shooter to clearly see where he or she is shooting – or missing, if that's the case.

The Winchester AA “TrAAcker” training shotshells are available in two different versions for both the 12-gauge and the 20-gauge chamberings: a variant conceived for shooting in bright, sunny, pleasant weather days features a black wad; the variant made for training in cloudy, covered days, or for shooting in ranges that feature a backdrop, comes with a bright orange, high-visibility wad.
