It was about time: Carl Walther presented its previous top air rifle, the LG400, at the 2010 World Championships in Munich. A long 13 years since then is more than a generation in top-class sport, even if there have always been improvements to details such as the LG400 Monotec. Here is a brief introduction to its successor, the Walther LG500 itec.

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection, which was founded in 2003 and has more than 60,000 employees, launched a Modular Precision Weapon Platform (MPWP) tender this summer. It has now been announced that Accuracy International North America, Inc. has been selected.

Core Elite, that's what ZEV Technologies calls its AR-15 -style series, by far the most manufactured and popular semi-automatic rifles not only in the USA. Two models have made it across the Atlantic to us. Both come in the form of the particularly handy 16-inchers in the AR-typical .223 Remington caliber. Here's what the duo has to offer.

German Sport Guns (GSG) presented an AK47 at IWA 2023. Firearm connoisseurs already identify it by its silhouette as belonging to the "Kalashnikov" family. We were able to test the GSG Mauser AK47 Omega, which is completely manufactured in Germany, in detail.

CZ’s 457 Match Target Rifle, or “MTR”, has a great visual appeal for those wanting the latest mechanics yet still showing some of the classic looks in a material that will forever be associated with beautiful gunstocks: walnut. Our team-member Chris Parkin from the UK fully tested it and tells us about his impressions.

The CZ 600 Range immediately looked an exciting and adventurous rifle from the instant I first saw one. It’s designed for shooters for whom precision is the priority and carries the most stringent accuracy guarantee of sub-0.75 MOA (using match ammunition) within the entire 600 portfolio.

Chambered in 5.56x45 mm NATO (.223 Remington), the  Hellion is a semi-automatic rifle that is derived from the Croatian HS Produkt VHS-2 assault rifle. Originally introduced in a 16”-barrel version, it is now also available with 18” or 20” barrels.

Here comes the .22 LR Pardini TR20, the first semi-automatic rifle from the Italian company specializing in sporting arms. Manufactured with extensive use of 3D printers, it combines the frame of the proven SO pistol with a fully adjustable stock. 

All new centerfire bolt-action rifles from CZ belong to the 600 series, but in addition to conventional models, the Czechs also have the small 600 Trail in .223 Remington in their catalog, featuring an aluminum handguard and adjustable stock. We thoroughly tested the rifle.

Fifteen years ago, we already introduced the rimfire semi-auto rifles in the unmistakable HK MP5 look, which were still called GSG-5 at that time. Today, they go by the name GSG-16 and the Sport version can be used for sport shooting, which prompted us to test them again. 

After acquiring Marlin in 2020, Ruger keeps reviving the latter's iconic lever-actions. The Model 1894 Classic is chambered in .44 Magnum but can also shoot .44 Special cartridges – other models in different calibers and configurations will be released throughout the coming year.

Similar in conception to the SIG Sauer Cross, the small US manufacturer Live Q or Die, LLC launched a lightweight, compact and technically interesting bolt-action rifle on the market with the model "The Fix", which we have been able to test in detail. You can read the results here.

This challenge posed in 2017 by U.S. AR platform enthusiasts was answered by distributor Brownells at the SHOT Show 2020 who  in Las Vegas presented the WWSD2020, designed and manufactured by Ke Arms of Phoenix, Arizona. The acronym means "What Would Stoner Do."
