When it comes to modern hunting cartridges, accuracy at distance and technically sophisticated setups, there is hardly a substitute for a thorough field test. This is exactly what we did: at a 300-m range, two current cartridge concepts faced off: the 8.5x55 Blaser ECX and the 7mm PRC Outfitter. Both loads are made by Hornady.
