Eley enters the large caliber business with the .38 Super Comp

Despite the British origin of the manufacturer, as far as we know this very specialized ammunition for dynamic IPSC/USPSA shooting is produced in the USA and not in the UK. However, there is a possibility that it could also be available in Europe after CIP approval. Of course, the Eley .38 Super Comp is intended to achieve the Major Power Factor according to IPSC/USPSA safe gas-pressure limits, controllable firing behaviour and high accuracy.

Eley .38 Super Comp specialized ammo with high power factor of 165 for the US market

The ammunition is primarily intended for the US market, and the local IPSC association – the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) – for the Open Division of the highly bred "Full House Race Guns" with compensators and red dot optic sights demands a power factor of 165, while in the rest of the IPSC world it is only 160. The Minor or Major Power Factor is calculated by the simple formula bullet weight in grains multiplied by velocity in feet per second (fps) divided by 1000. The Eley .38 Super Comp Major features a rimless case and a round nose copper metal jacketed 124 gr bullet that is designed to provide the highest functional reliability in double-stack magazines.
