The XP PRO is an innovative collaboration between Fusion Firearms, an American company founded by Bob Serva, and the Turkish company Ermox. This innovative variant of the 1911 semi-automatic pistol with a double-stack frame is designed to use standard Glock magazines, which are ubiquitous on the international market.
Bob Serva is a well-known figure in the handgun sector, who supported and financed the return of historical brands such as Dan Wesson and Wildey to the market. The collaboration between Fusion and Ermox bears witness to the synergy between these two firearms manufacturers, setting a new benchmark in the industry for innovation and design.

The Fusion Firearms XP Pro is a semi-compact, semi-automatic pistol with a four-inch barrel and steel frame designed to accommodate standard 17-round 9mm Glock magazines. The bull barrel (i.e., thicker) profile features a feed ramp and has a black Tenifer finish. It is manufactured by the American specialist Clark Custom, a name that over the years has become synonymous with fine components for 1911-style pistols. The barrel is coupled to a one-piece full-length spring guide rod, which ensures perfect gun cycling. The slide is made of steel, also with Tenifer finish (in the black version) with large rear and front serrations, and as required by the market is optics ready with RMR/SRO red dot footprint. The Novak-type rear and front sights are dovetail mounted, the former directly on the slide, the latter on the plate that covers the optics cut. On the slide sides, near the muzzle, there is a pair of L-shaped cuts that lighten it considerably. In addition to the black version there is also the Chrome version, which features a hard chrome finish on the slide and other parts such as the beavertail and the thumb safety.
The steel frame is equipped with the now ever-present Picatinny rail for mounting your favourite accessories. The aluminum grips feature a chainlink pattern that makes them extremely grippy, while the grip front- and backstrap are finely checkered for a secure grip. Added to this is the removable mini-magwell for quicker magazine changes and the Wilson-type grip safety. The slide stop, located on the left side only, is oversized. The trigger is single-action only, with a skeletonized steel trigger blade machined from a solid billet; the hammer is also skeletonized.
The Fusion Firearms XP Pro has a retail price in the USA of $1,099, which makes it very attractive for users who want a compact double-stack 1911 for sport shooting but also for self-defence or as a service gun. From this point of view, the XP Pro proves to be very affordable and could carve out a space of its own in the competitive US market.
