IWA 2025: The purchasing day for dealers – Report from Day 3 of the Nuremberg trade fair

Trade is change: the well-known motto naturally also applies to the firearms and equipment sector. It is no coincidence that IWA OutdoorClassics considers itself to be the leading trade fair for the industry, at least for Europe's wholesalers and retailers. Many exhibitors from Asia and the USA, on the other hand, are looking for new distribution partners. For this reason, some of the halls are also home to exhibitors organised by nation, such as US companies, Swedes and Italians. German wholesalers and importers offer the opportunity to view the new brands on their organised stands. This literally saves the trade from having to walk...

Our camera teams can also use this the other way round to present all the new products in a time-saving, longer video at some of the filming dates. More detailed presentations and tests will of course follow as soon as possible in the coming weeks and months. The daily reports, including this one from day 3 of the IWA, will be added to and updated as necessary.

Incidentally, our videos on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram also offer the opportunity to leave questions or comments about the new products. As long as these are factual (spam also occurs from time to time), we will endeavour to respond promptly. The corresponding links:

IWA 2025: CZ Shadow 2 Target, a new version for precision shooting

The new version of the CZ Shadow 2 Target semi-automatic pistol is chambered in 9mm Luger and comes with a 5 or 6 inch barrel. This pistol was designed for shooting competitions in Germany, which are generally held at 25 and 50 meters, so precision in deliberate shooting is brought to the highest levels thanks to the fully adjustable trigger. These shooting competitions require the exclusive use of iron sights, so there is no longer the now ubiquitous Picatinny rail on the dust cover, replaced by a mounting point for counterweights.

IWA 2025: Diana: the first 135 years of an iconic brand

At the 2025 edition of IWA, the German manufacturer Diana celebrates its 135 years of activity with a series of special models and celebratory versions. It starts with the Diana .22 LR rifle, which is offered with a synthetic stock decorated by an emerging painter. The same goes for the Diana Panther 350, a high-powered springer, also in 4.5mm. These special versions will be manufactured only during 2025. Then there is the re-edition of the legendary Model 34, perhaps the best-selling air rifle in history, with break-barrel loading system and chambered in the timeless 4.5mm. Finally, there is a version of the new XR210 rifle, an interesting PCP gun available with a wooden or polymer stock.

IWA 2025: Fausti Caledon Sporting

The new Fausti Caledon Sporting is an entry-level shotgun designed for enthusiasts of the Sporting discipline. It features a steel action with laser engravings dedicated to the Sporting world and is available in 12 or 20 gauge, with 71-, 76- or 81-cm barrels and interchangeable chokes, 5 internal and 2 external. The locking system is the Four Locks patented by Fausti, with 4 locking points that make the gun durable and precise over time. The stock is in select walnut and ends with a rubber shock-absorbing pad, which helps to dampen felt recoil and improve control of the shotgun.

IWA 2025: Savage Revel lever-action now as deluxe version, Savage 110 FBT Hunter bolt-action rifle as a more affordable alternative to the Savage 110 Klym

You can always expect new ideas from Savage Arms. The Savage Revel Classic and Revel DLX lever-action rifles were shown in Nuremberg, which were originally only planned for the US market, but are now also coming to Europe. We have already presented the duo, which is built in the rimfire calibers .22 L.R., .22 Magnum and .17 HMR. Under the 18" (457 mm) long barrel sits the easy-to-load tubular magazine with a capacity of 12 cartridges in .22 LR and 9 cartridges in .22 WMR and .17 HMR. The Revel DLX has a slightly more luxurious stock than the Classic and a pronounced pistol grip. A Picatinny-based scope mount is also available as an accessory. The Savage 110 FBT Hunter is now available as a more affordable version of the lightweight but high-priced Savage 110 Klym bolt-action rifle with its carbon stock from the German supplier FBT (Fine Ballistic Tools), without a Proof Research barrel but still with an FBT stock featuring a tool-free adjustable cheek piece, a fluted 18-inch barrel and only available in .308 Winchester.

IWA 2025: Hornady High Speed 3-in-1 Power Case Trimmer for fast processing of cases for reloaders

At IWA OutdoorClassics 2025, Jens Tigges will be presenting the Hornady High Speed 3-in-1 Power Case Trimmer, a new tool designed to drastically shorten the often tedious case trimming process. Thanks to a motor that spins at 2000 revolutions per minute and two counter-rotating blades, the cases are precisely trimmed, chamfered and deburred in just a few seconds. A click‑adjustable micrometer in 0.2 mm increments allows the reloader to adjust the trimming dimension precisely and easily. The quick-release device also allows easy switching between different case diameters, from .22 to .300 Winchester Magnum. This allows reloaders, who are often confronted with this rather unattractive work step, to save a lot of time and make the process more pleasant. And perhaps they will also develop a taste for experimenting with different loads in this discipline. You can find out everything else about the Hornady High Speed 3-in-1 Power Case Trimmer and Jens Tigges' challenge as a reloader to achieve the quality of factory ammunition in our video and at www.hornady.com.
