As is well known, the core of IWA is the trade in hunting and sporting firearms, as well as firearms accessories, optics and ammunition. We have already provided you with a brief preview of the supporting program for IWA 2025, which takes place from 27 February to 3 January. Now we would like to take a closer look at the exhibitors and brands represented at IWA. You can already get an idea of the IWA OutdoorClassics 2025 halls online. What is noticeable at first glance is that the so-called gun halls in particular are already fully booked. In Halls 1, 3, 3A and 3C, only a small amount of space is still available. Nevertheless, the following key question keeps circulating in industry circles:
Does IWA 2025 have a problem with a lack of brands/manufacturers?
Apparently not – let's take a look at the list of top brands together: Bergara, Beretta Holding with all its brands, Manfred Alberts as Germany distributor, Tanfoglio, EAW, Krale, Ceska Zbrojovka (CZ), GLOCK, Browning and Winchester, Helmut Hofmann, Leupold, Hornady, Savage Arms, Steyr Sport, Feinwerkbau, Waimex, Weihrauch, CBC Brasil, Fiocchi, Ferkinghoff International, Armi Perazzi, Baschieri & Pellagri, Leader Trading, Derya Arms, ATESCI, Nobelsport, Gamo, AKAH, Brownells Europe, Aimpoint, Anschütz, RWS, Schmidt & Bender, GPO, Noblex, Nocpix, Pulsar, Umarex, Carl Walther, HIKMICRO, Krieghoff, Merkel & Haenel, Frankonia, SIG Sauer, Thermtec, Leapers, Zoli, PARD, Davide Pedersoli, Rizzini, Kahles Optik and many other exhibitors with top international brands are part of the line-up at IWA 2025. This list alone makes it clear that IWA is much more international than other trade fairs for hunters and sport shooters. And with its claim to be the world's leading trade fair, it has to be. A brand problem with regard to the international orientation of the trade fair is therefore not recognizable – even if Blaser and Swarovski Optik are still not exhibiting at the event.
In order to provide visitors with efficient guidance, the trade fair management has tried – as far as possible - to bundle certain segments in the halls. Hall 1, for example, is home to exhibitors from Italy, Spain and Turkey, while Hall 4A is the absolute center for night vision and thermal imaging technology. Good to know: Czech manufacturer CZ (Ceska Zbrojova) is moving to Hall 3C with a large stand because Sellier & Bellot (S&B) previously exhibited in the same place. After the Colt CZ Group bought the ammunition manufacturer S&B at the end of 2023 and the takeover was completed in mid-2024, the two companies will exhibit together in future.
On the subject of innovations at IWA OutdoorClassics 2025
As one of the last trade fairs in the first quarter of 2025, the criticism was voiced that hardly any new products would be shown at IWA. At first glance, this even seems justified. Since the pandemic, many brands have stopped holding their product launch events at trade fairs or have taken their cue from the SHOT Show in Las Vegas. However, it should be noted that in some European countries there are other consumer trade fairs where hunters and shooters can examine and even buy new products themselves. Retailers are not necessary as multipliers. Today, this role is played by the media – and of course by us at all4shooters.com / all4hunters.com. In countries such as the UK, Italy, Germany and France, where game fairs are held, the end customer is well informed and no longer needs retailers as gatekeepers. However, this does not apply to many other countries. For retailers from Portugal, for example, IWA is the only trade fair in the year where they can see numerous new products from many exhibitors at once. But trade visitors need not fear either, as there will be some exciting product launches at IWA OutdoorClassics 2025, some of which will even be world premieres. So there will be plenty of new products on offer at IWA.
