The 600 rifle series expands further: from CZ, the new 600 American

“American” is the name of the latest addition to the popular CZ's 600 rifle series: the CZ 600 American is a modern bolt-action centerfire rifle designed for “hunters who value aesthetics and shooting comfort, together with accuracy, reliability and safety”, in the manufacturer's words. As for aesthetics, the CZ 600 American sports a beautiful “American-style” Turkish walnut stock with a fleur-de-lis motif on the grip. (Stock is symmetrical, so that it can be used by left-handers as well.)

The CZ 600 American's stock contours allow for responsive and comfortable aiming with a riflescope.

Speaking of accuracy, the rifle is guaranteed sub-MOA (three-shot groups at 100 m with match-grade ammunition). The controlled feed system with short extractor ensures full reliability, even during rapid reloads. Comfort is provided by the stock contours that allow for responsive and comfortable aiming with a riflescope – the rifle features a Remington 700-type interface and comes with no iron sights. Last but not least, like most centerfire rifles in the CZ 600 series, the CZ 600 American features a patented vertical safety with intuitive, and virtually noiseless, operation. The bolt can be safely removed by pressing a spring-loaded button on the right side of the receiver without having to disengage the safety and manipulate the trigger.

As for calibers, the 600 American is available in a wide range of calibers, from 223 Rem. to 300 Win. Mag., to meet the needs of a wide range of hunters and sport shooters.

No iron sights: the CZ 600 American features a Remington 700-type interface for mounting riflescopes.

The thin-profile barrel is cold hammer forged and offered in lengths from 18 to 24 inches (457-610 mm) depending on the caliber, with a standard M15×1 threaded muzzle for mounting accessories such as a suppressor or a compensator. A 60° bolt handle angle allows for fast reloads.

The 60° bolt throw allows for quick operation without the risk of hitting a mounted riflescope. In the CZ 600 American you can also choose whether to remove the magazine or lock it and load it from the top of the receiver.

The single-stage trigger with four levels of pull weight is user-adjustable (CZ patent) without removing the receiver from the stock. The locking five-round double stack magazine allows for quick changeovers from fixed to removable operation and vice versa.

Receiver is steel and, as all other metal components, is treated with CZ’s patented, extremely durable anti-corrosion finishing.
