Christensen Arms news 2019: Traverse and MPR rifles

Founded in Utah in 1995, Christensen Arms is a company that took its first steps in the aerospace industry and then focused on firearms production. Twenty years ago, it introduced the first carbon fiber barrel, bringing a breath of innovation into the world of hunting and shooting guns.

Christensen Arms Traverse: hunting bolt-action rifle

Among the new products introduced at the SHOT Show 2019, the Traverse bolt-action rifle features a carbon fiber composite Monte Carlo-style stock with an integrated 4 in / 100 mm mounting rail on the forend bottom. The stainless steel action sports an easy-to-use, enlarged bolt knob and a continuous 0 MOA optics mounting rail over the action sleeve. Screwed into the action is a stainless steel aerograde carbon fiber wrapped barrel with "Light Target" contour and side-baffle muzzle brake.

The rifle is rounded off by a precision-guaranteed adjustable match trigger

The caliber options include, for example: .22-250 Remington, .243 Winchester, 26 Nosler, 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5-284 Norma, 6.5 PRC, 7mm-08 Remington, 7mm Remington Magnum, 28 Nosler, .280 Ackley, .270 WSM, . 270 Winchester, .308 Winchester, .30-06 Springfield, .300 WSM, .300 Winchester Magnum, .300 PRC, 30 Nosler and .300 RUM.

In the US, the rifle costs 2395 USD.

Modern Precision Rifle from Christensen Arms

The "Modern Precision Rifle" (MPR) series of state-of-the-art, lightweight bolt-action rifles, first introduced last year, continues to expand. The squeaky clean MPR rifles feature adjustable carbon fiber cheek risers, carbon fiber combs and handguards and are available in popular calibers from 6.5 Creedmoor to .338 LM.

In 2019, Christensen Arms expanded the line with a light-alloy chassis characterized by a "Desert Brown" hard surface coating and MPR versions in the low-maintenance, low-recoil caliber .223 Remington with short action, with 16"/406 mm and 20"/508 mm barrels and AICS-compatible polymer magazine with a capacity of 10 cartridges. Almost obviously, all the MPR models come with a promising sub-MOA accuracy guarantee.

MSRP for the short action versions is 2295 USD, while the long action models are priced at 2395 USD.
