Bergara B14² CIMA CF – The extension of the Bergara B14 bolt-action rifle series with carbon technology

With the B14² CIMA CF, Bergara is presenting a new model within its well-known B14 series. The bolt-action rifle combines a classic, proven platform with state-of-the-art materials and manufacturing methods. The manufacturer's aim is to create a particularly lightweight, easy-to-handle hunting rifle that nevertheless ensures precision, reliability and robustness under a wide range of conditions. The CIMA CF is the second model in the "B14² subgroup" of the Bergara B14 series. We already scrutinised its sister model, the Crest. But what does the new CIMA CF have to offer?

The Bergara B14² CIMA CF bridges the gap between a proven bolt-action rifle platform and state-of-the-art materials and manufacturing techniques.
One of the centerpieces of the Bergara B14² CIMA CF is the RTM carbon stock with the integrated SMC carbon mini-chassis.

Carbon fiber technology in the B14² CIMA CF: the Bergara CURE carbon barrel and the RTM carbon stock

At the heart of the design is the Bergara CURE carbon barrel, which uses a combination of steel core and carbon fiber wrappiing to reduce weight without compromising shooting performance. It is complemented by an RTM carbon fiber sporter stock, which weighs only around 510 grams, and an integrated SMC carbon mini chassis, which ensures high torsional rigidity. Together, these components bring the gun to a total weight of around 2.6 kilograms. This makes the CIMA CF one of the lightest models in its class and offers hunters a considerable weight saving in demanding terrain.

The Bergara CURE carbon barrel also helps to reduce the weight of the Bergara B14² CIMA CF.
Hunting in the mountains is a classic application for a lightweight rifle like the Bergara B14² CIMA CF.

The rifle is positioned primarily for users who have to cover long distances in the hunting ground or hunt in mountainous terrain. The low weight reduces physical strain, while the combination of stable stock construction, reinforced bedding and proven Remington 700 action is intended to guarantee consistently high accuracy. The CIMA CF thus exemplifies Bergara's claim to combine traditional design with state-of-the-art technology to meet the demands of today's hunting situations.

Calibers, features and price of the B14² CIMA CF

The rifle is offered in a wide range of popular hunting calibers, including .308 Winchester, 6.5 Creedmoor, .223 Remington, 6.5 PRC, .270 Winchester, .300 Winchester Magnum, 7mm Remington Magnum, 7mm PRC and .300 PRC (see below for details). Every model comes with an adjustable trigger, a spiral-fluted bolt and the 5/8-24 UNEF muzzle thread. This allows the hunter to add a silencer to the gun in addition to the factory attachment. With a non-binding retail price of €1,785, Bergara has positioned the B14² CIMA CF in an attractive price segment and complements the B14 series with a lightweight, modern model that has been specially developed for mountain hunting, stalking and all areas of use where high mobility with the rifle is required.
