Hunting with Baschieri & Pellagri F2 Super Flash

The F2 Super Flash cartridge is the second instance of a very successful tradition revitalization proposed by Baschieri & Pellagri. After the MB Tigre in 2017, in 2018 the Bologna-based company is offering the comeback of one of the first cartridges that became truly historic thanks to its performances, so appreciated by hunters.

Baschieri & Pellagri F2 Super Flash: the hunting test

Baschieri & Pellagri F2 Super Flash cartridges with a Beretta shotgun and wood pigeons.
In the wood pigeon hunting we appreciated the reliability of Baschieri & Pellagri F2 Super Flash cartridges with number 7 and 5 lead shot.

We are talking about the F2 Super Flash cartridge which owes its name to the extremely fast propellant, the F2 lamellar powder born in 1962 and capable of imparting great penetration power and consistent ballistic performances.

The clean-cut look of a traditional ammunition with a lacquered and silk-screened cardboard case with star-crimp is combined with a modern plastic wad featuring a cup with petals that allows for the distribution of uniform and dense patterns even on medium and long ranges. The load is standard for the 12 gauge; 36 grams of nickel plated lead shot from number 7 to 3.

It’s a solution proposed by Baschieri to traditionalists and demanding hunters, who love valuable medium-sized game, both sedentary and migratory. They can rely on the constancy of a cartridge that from the first days of the hunting season can be used without the much-feared temperature and pressure thanks to the care took by the company in technology of materials and powders.

We at all4hunters did not hesitate to test it in the first days of woodpigeon hunting, appreciating the stopping power of the F2 Super Flash that allowed us safe shots and easy recovery of this beautiful game. The F2 Super Flash cartridge is also available in 20 gauge with a 28 gram lead load – components and shot number are the same.
