“Engineered for duck and goose hunters who demand uncompromising performance in the field”: Fiocchi of America has just added the Arkansas Steel to its lineup of 12-gauge shotshell loads. Specially designed for waterfowl hunting, the Arkansas Steel offers the perfect combination of pattern density, velocity, and reliability, according to the manufacturer's claim.
Fiocchi Arkansas Steel: a load built to deliver results

The “Arkansas Steel” name pays homage to the storied waterfowling heritage of Arkansas and the famed Delta region where world-class duck hunting traditions run deep. But Fiocchi stresses that while its roots honor the heart of the Mississippi Flyway, the Arkansas Steel shotshells can be used “from the flooded timber of the Delta to the prairies of the Central Flyway or the coastal marshes of the Atlantic”.

The 12-gauge Arkansas Steel features a 3" (76 mm) shell that delivers a 1-1/5 ounce payload, equal to 34 grams, of #2, #3, or #4 steel shot. Velocity is quite high, at 1,550 fps (more than 472 m/s), which guarantees devastating impact, superior downrange energy, and clean, ethical kills even in the toughest wetland conditions.
“Arkansas Steel is built for hunters who don’t settle for second best,” said Christian Hogg, Director of Marketing. “From flooded timber to open water, it’s engineered to cycle flawlessly, pattern tightly, and bring the kind of knockdown power that makes every shot count.”
Like the reintroduced Texas White Wing 12-gauge load we reported about a few days ago, the Fiocchi Arkansas Steel also comes in a practical and convenient bulk 4-box field carton featuring a sturdy handle for ease of transport.
