Day 2 of Enforce Tac 2025 in Nuremberg: All the latest innovations from the leading security trade fair for the military and law enforcement

Enforce Tac 2025 is not only the place where new products relating to internal and external security are presented in five exhibition halls. At the German security trade fair for the military and law enforcement, visitors also take the opportunity to exchange opinions and experiences with each other and for further training as part of the various events on the three days of the fair. The AMMO SYMPOSIUM, which Enforce Tac organised together with RWS as a partner, was the focus of the second day of the trade fair, which traditionally attracts significantly more visitors (here is our detailed preliminary report). Dr Jan-Philipp Weisswange, himself a high-ranking reserve officer and author of books and magazines, including for all4shooters.com, led the all-day event on the "Challenges and future strategies in ammunition supply for  or law enforcement and the military".

This year, Enforce Tac increasingly focused on electronic devices, such as drones and drone defence. Not necessarily our main focus when it comes to reporting, which is why we are continuing to concentrate on firearms, ammunition, "small" optics and personnel equipment. The daily report from our camera teams will be gradually added to. At the bottom you will also find further links relating to Enforce Tac 2025 as well as the report from yesterday's opening day.

Enforce Tac 2025: Walther goes professional – Walther PDP Pro pistol with Aimpoint sight

Walther goes professional – Walther PDP Pro pistol with Aimpoint sight.

Bernhard Knöbel, CEO of the Ulm-based manufacturer Carl Walther, presented two new versions of the top PDP pistol model at the Enforce Tac, with Aimpoint sight and the Dynamic Performance Trigger (short trigger pull, equally short reset) straight from the factory. The Walther PDP Professional Acro as a full-size model has been uncompromisingly trimmed for performance, for example with a magwell for fast reloading and with the deeply inserted, rugged Aimpoint P-2, which is mounted without a plate and also allows co-witness aiming using the open sights as an alternative. The CR2032 button cell is claimed to enable up to 50,000 operating hours in continuous operation with the 3.5 MOA aiming dot in daylight mode. These technical features, such as the trigger, magwell and design, are also available in the Walther PDP Hunter Pro hunting version, albeit with extra grip inserts in "Blaze Orange" and the more affordable Aimpoint Acro C-2. A Recover brand buttstock is now also available as an optional extra. The Walther website also lists other PDP versions, such as compact four-inch pistols.

Enforce Tac 2025: Swarovski Optik STR 65 and 80, the super-technological “long” optics

At Enforce Tac 2025, Swarovski Optik is presenting the STR 80 and STR 65 spotting scopes designed for LE use as well as for hunting and sporting applications. With a front lens diameter of 80mm (STR 80) or 65mm (STR 65), the standard eyepiece allows you to go from 20 to 60 magnifications. The outstanding feature of this spotting scopes, in addition to their brilliant HD optics typical of Swarovski and very high magnification, is a switchable mil-dot illuminated reticle. Thanks to the mil-based scale, exact corrections can be specified in milliradians, which is particularly useful for tactical missions. The separately available smartphone adapter is another practical addition. This enables the spotting scope to be connected directly to a mobile phone, allowing observations to be documented and analysed as photos or videos. This function, already tried and tested in the hunting sector, also has useful applications in LE use. The rails along the STR 80 housing allow the scope to be accessorized and integrated with other optoelectronic devices. More information on the Swarovski Optik STR 80 – which is already available for an RRP of €4,180 – and  STR 65 spotting scopes can be found in our video from the trade fair booth and on the manufacturer's website.

Enforce Tac 2025: GLOCK G45 Hunter fully equipped with Aimpoint, GTL II and silencer

GLOCK G45 Hunter fully equipped with Aimpoint, GTL II and silencer.

The Austrian handgun manufacturer will be presenting its complete product portfolio at the GLOCK booth. One of the novelties is the G45 in 9mm Luger in the Hunter Edition series. GLOCK will be showing it to trade visitors fully equipped with the brand new Aimpoint COA red dot sight, the likewise new GLOCK GTL II gun light and a silencer. The COA sight, developed in cooperation between the two companies, is characterised in particular by its direct mounting on the gun slide. As a result, it sits particularly low and allows a particularly low sight line and co-witness. Further information about the GLOCK combo can be found in the video and on the GLOCK website.

Enforce Tac 2025: Haenel launches the  LR One Short bolt-action rifle, with a shorter 16.5-inch barrel and two-chamber silencer

Haenel launches the  LR One Short bolt-action rifle, with a shorter 16.5-inch barrel and two-chamber silencer.

Haenel is now launching a shorter version of the LR One bolt-action rifle introduced last year, the LR One Short. The rifle is equipped with a folding stock with thumb rest manufactured by stock professional MDT and comes with a 16.5-inch barrel and the newly developed two-chamber silencer. The magazine was designed as a 10-cartridge version. Haenel's target group are hunters and sport shooters who prefer a shorter barrel length.

Enforce Tac 2025: Detecting and fending off drones is one of the specialties of Aaronia AG

Military missions using drones with explosive charges have been reported in all the media, not least due to the war in Ukraine. At Enforce Tac 2025, numerous manufacturers will therefore be showcasing both small and large drones for law enforcement and military use, as well as ways of fending off dangerous drones in good time. Aaronia from the German Eifel region, which claims to be the world market leader in drone detection with its Aartos system, presented a special vehicle as a mobile platform for detecting and defending against drones, even while driving. In the video, Stefan Kraschansky, Aaronia's Managing Director for the military and LE worldwide, explains the software developed in-house with its sophisticated options for detecting drones of all kinds in real time. It is also possible to block certain regions and prevent drone flights there (for example around event locations). It is even possible to determine the drone type and manufacturer, switch on to the drone camera image and determine the location of the drone operator. Drone protection technology has already been used successfully on several occasions, for example to protect the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro in 2024. Further information can be found on this special website.

Enforce Tac 2025: Leupold Mark 5HD 2-10x30 M5C3 top riflescope now with innovative tactical reticle

The riflescopes in the Mark 5HD series from Leupold are almost considered the “gold standard” in the military and LE sectors. A new type of reticle has now been introduced especially for this customer group, but it could also appeal to the civilian hunting and sports sector. The Mark 5HD with the CMR-MIL reticle has a 2-10x magnification, which shows a fine “Christmas tree” reticle with Mildot branches at 10x magnification, allowing precise shots to be taken. In the center is a fine illuminated circle with an aperture at the bottom. At the lowest magnification (2x) and for quick shots, the color-coded center can be used like a fast acquisition sight. Law enforcement shooters can use the low magnification at short ranges more or less like a red dot, but the finer reticle structure can be used for longer distances without any problems.

Enforce Tac 2025: new Hornady .338 ARC

A new cartridge from Hornady based on the Advanced Rifle Cartridge: the .338 ARC delivers 1.5 times the energy of a subsonic .300 Blackout. The cartridge is currently offered with a 307-grain subsonic SUB-X bullet and a 175-grain supersonic bullet, and is optimized for very short barrels, around 7.5” on a standard AR-15. Given the speeds around 1000 fps and the weight of the bullet, the cartridge is most effective at 100-150 m. The new .308 has also been designed to work optimally in both silenced and unsilenced weapons. A particular advantage, the Hornady .338 ARC Sub-X has almost identical gas pressure values to supersonic variants, which means that they can be used in AR-15 platforms without any adjustments to the gas block. For professional use up to 100 meters, the .338 ARC offers reliable performance with the Sub-X bullet, which ensures controlled expansion thanks to its polymer tip. You can find out more details about the new Hornady .338 ARC ammunition and its possible applications in our video and on the manufacturer's website.
