Interview with Isabelle Teufert,  Exhibition Director  of Enforce Tac, the leading trade fair for internal and external security, with the latest information on Enforce Tac 2025

all4shooters.com: Mrs Teufert, last year's eleventh Enforce Tac was a real blast and a complete success in every respect. Is there any room for improvement?

Teufert: Yes, absolutely. We are still absolutely delighted that Enforce Tac 2024 was so successful and exceeded all expectations. But even though it was a great success, we are always striving to improve and make the event even more attractive. The security and defence sector is constantly evolving, and so are the demands on our event.

Enforce Tac Exhibition Manager Isabelle Teufert still sees a lot of potential for growth for her trade fair in the future.

We are convinced that we are capable of further growth. We are not only focusing on expanding the trade fair, but above all on deepening and further developing our program. This means an even stronger focus on future-oriented topics such as the advancing digitalisation in the security sector, the challenges posed by hybrid warfare and the growing importance of resilience in defence.

We are also planning to develop new formats and synergies with partners in order to intensify the dialogue between exhibitors, trade visitors and experts. Examples of this include the AMMO SYMPOSIUM, which will celebrate its premiere in 2025 and address the topic of ammunition procurement. Another example is the GERMAN NORDIC DEFENCE INDUSTRY DIALOGUE, which is a newly initiated multilateral dialogue format that aims to create an innovative ecosystem for the defence industry consisting of Germany and the Nordic countries (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland). In this way, we can ensure that Enforce Tac continues to play a leading role as a central platform for dialogue and presentation of innovations in the security and defence industry. The 12th edition is sure to set new standards and offer even more professionals and companies the opportunity to network and help shape the future of the industry.

all4shooters.com: Unfortunately, the world has not become any more peaceful since our last meeting. The Russia-Ukraine conflict has been joined by the escalating trouble spot in the Middle East since the Hamas attack on 7 October 2023. Will this have an impact on the Nuremberg Trade Fair for Internal and External Security?

Teufert: The current geopolitical tensions are undoubtedly having an impact on our industry. We are monitoring these developments closely and adapting our program accordingly in order to meet the increasingly complex requirements and challenges.

During the live demonstrations in the Enforce Tac Village 2024, there was always a lively crowd in the stands. In 2025, the Enforce Village will also be larger and will move from a small outdoor area to an exhibition hall that is independent of the weather.

Enforce Tac remains a platform that is specifically geared towards the needs of the security and defence industry. This means that topics such as hybrid warfare, international security and new defence technologies will continue to play a central role. We will also increasingly address the challenges posed by new threat scenarios and the global rise in hotspots.

Our aim is to provide experts, decision-makers and industry with the necessary solutions and dialogue to address security-related topics. Enforce Tac therefore remains an important meeting place for dialogue on technological innovations and strategic approaches that are important for the security of Germany and Europe.

all4shooters.com: The Enforce Tac Village and the daily program of live demonstrations in the outdoor area of the trade fair were very well received. Will this format be continued in collaboration with Operational Capabilities, Proreta and Airborne Medical Group? What changes will there be in 2025?

Impressions of the live demonstrations of the Enforce Tac Village 2024, which took place outdoors. In 2025, the tactical village is located in its own hall.

Teufert: Yes, that's right  we were overwhelmed ourselves by how many people didn't miss out and came to see Enforce Tac Village 2024 for themselves. The visitors literally "ran into" the stands. This format was and is an essential part of the supporting program for us in order to provide visitors with practical insights, but above all to offer our exhibitors an extended presentation opportunity: live and in combination.

In close cooperation with our partners such as Operational Capabilities, Proreta and Airborne Medical Group, we will continue to expand the concept. In 2025, the Enforce Tac Village will find its weather-independent location in Hall 8. The new location opens up new planning opportunities for us, such as a catering area created especially for the Enforce Tac Village. But of course we've also come up with a few other special features. You can see for yourself at Enforce Tac 2025!

all4shooters.com: Germany also has a lot of problems to contend with domestically. The Middle East conflict is partly being fought out on our streets, Russian espionage and possible sabotage activities have probably increased massively, and organised crime and illegal immigration are also on the rise. Are the German security authorities still up to all this? Will the range of internal security services be expanded at Enforce Tac 2025?

Teufert: The last few years have shown us once again how important it is for the security authorities in Germany and Europe to be prepared for the increasing threats. I am convinced that cooperation at European level is now more important than ever. Only through close dialogue and a common strategy can we effectively counter the complex threats of the present and future.

In this context, Enforce Tac 2025 will play an even stronger role and will continue to be called upon to create appropriate opportunities for interaction and program items in order to further promote this dialogue and intensify cooperation between European security actors.

My aim is for our event to be perceived not only as a meeting place for innovation, but also as a place where solutions to the most pressing challenges of internal and external security are developed and discussed.

We are facing major challenges, but I am confident that we will find the right answers together  and Enforce Tac 2025 will play a central role in this.

Enforce Tac 2025 will once again feature a training village where exhibitors can have their products presented in live demonstrations by tactically experienced actors, as here in the Enforce Tac Village 2024.

all4shooters.com: Does the Nuremberg trade fair for internal and external security only ever receive positive mentions in regional, national or even international media coverage, or have there also been critical comments?

Teufert: An event like Enforce Tac is certainly a polarising topic, even without the tense geopolitical situation. In 2024, we were pleased to receive largely positive coverage in the broad media landscape. However, this is not only the case for us as trade fair organisers; our exhibitors are also experiencing similar developments. The topic of internal and external security is once again moving more into the minds of society and is more present than in previous years. In addition, we are enjoying great popularity for our event at federal and state level, politically speaking, and not without good reason. We currently offer the only platform within Germany that pursues the integrated security approach and are more strictly legitimised in terms of visitors than any of our European competitors. We therefore make a special contribution to the security of Germany and Europe.

all4shooters.com: Enforce Tac is growing and growing. The trade fair now occupies five exhibition halls with a total area of 48,000 square meters. Can we expect even more expansion in the future or has the famous end of the line been reached?

Teufert: In my personal opinion, the market potential is still huge and far from being exhausted. However, we are staying true to our line, which means: quality before quantity. The square meters required will be decided not least by the exhibitors during the rebooking. We remember: in 2024, we were virtually fully booked on the evening of the first day of the event and had to reorder halls.

all4shooters.com: Success usually means increasing competition. How do you assess the current activities at the Essen trade fair centre? Are you expecting new competition to Enforce Tac with Euro Defence, which will take place parallel to Security for the first time in 2026?

Teufert: Enforce Tac is more established as a trade fair for internal and external security than ever before  someone has to imitate us first.
