New Bushnell RXM-300 reflex sight, ruggedness in a large-lens format

“Our largest open reflex sight ever”: Bushnell introduces its new RXM-300 reflex sight, “a large lens red dot capable of fitting any firearm for virtually any application, from competition to self-defense”

The Bushnell RXM-300 comes with a Weaver style low-profile mount, high-rise spacer for AR/MSR and is also compatible for direct connection to any mount or optics-ready pistol configured for the RMR/SRO pattern and footprint.

Featuring a 28-mm wide by 24-mm tall window and a 4-MOA dot, the RXM-300 Reflex Sight was designed in conjunction with world champion shooter, KC Eusebio “who wanted a large lens format, optics-ready pistol sight built for 10’s of thousands of rounds”. This means that it is competition ready too.

The adjustment range is 100 MOA (both windage and elevation). The Bushnell RXM-300 also allows 12 brightness settings.

The Bushnell RXM-300 reflex sight is the only large format reflex sight with hydrophobic EXO Barrier for all-weather performance. The coating keeps the dot crisp and visible also in the rain and snow. Moreover, the EXO Barrier reduces fogging when transitioning environments and repels water, light debris, and contaminants.

The EXO Barrier lens coating of the  Bushnell  RXM-300 reduces fogging when transitioning environments and repels water, light debris, and contaminants.

The lens also requires less coating reflectivity which results in less artificial color and a truer color representation as well as higher light transmission.

The optimized hood geometry with chamfered hood edges to protect the optic from the possibility of snags on clothing or nearby objects, together with the reflector lens design, provide an extra-large lens for fast target acquisition and follow-up shots.

According to the manufacturer, the battery life is 35,000 hours. An automatic Power On-Demand system and a full suite of user-selectable functions also ensures everyone’s needs are met. The default condition is user-selectable manual brightness control and shake-awake engaged with 5-minute off delay. 12 brightness settings allow for clear day-bright viewing and low settings for excellent low light visibility.

The lowest 2 settings are NV compatible.

The Bushnell RXM-300 has a top loading battery (CR2032) for easy replacement and minimal maintenance.

Ruggedness is the keyword here: the RXM-300 is impact (drop) rated/tested to MIL-STD-810H standards. The aircraft-grade 7075-t6 aluminum construction of the housing ensures the glass and electronic internals are protected during field. The sight is IPX7 rated and can be submerged at 1 meter for 30 minutes without damage.

Other useful features include detented windage/elevation adjustment with 1 MOA per click and the top loading battery (CR2032) for easy replacement and minimal maintenance. The package includes protective form fit cover, basic tools, and Spudz cleaning cloth.

Priced at $299.99 in the U.S., the new Bushnell RXM-300 red dot can be mounted on many pistols, rifles and shotgun models since it comes with a Weaver style low-profile mount, high-rise spacer for AR/MSR and is also compatible for direct connection to any mount or optics-ready pistol configured for the RMR/SRO pattern and footprint.
