IWA Studio Edition 2021: New products and the trends of tomorrow in the firearms market presented in a virtual event

An international audience in a virtual auditorium – some 5000 participants from around 80 different countries – and more than 40 companies including market leaders, traditional brands and newcomers that were part of a three-hour livestream: these are just some figures of the IWA Studio Edition that on March 12, 2021, brought the industry together in a unique virtual event featuring discussion panels, product launches and entertaining infotainment interludes

In the Studio Dome – a specially created virtual outdoor stage – moderator Matt L. Beadle, equipped by IWA exhibitor Pinewood, led entertainingly through the program of facts, novelties and stimulating discussion rounds. Short breaks, DJ interludes and contributions from all over the world provided plenty of variety and a relaxed groove into the weekend.

The IWA Studio Edition was conceived as the start for the "Road to IWA 2022" event series, which bridges the waiting time until IWA OutdoorClassics 2022 with digital and physical events.

On the innovative virtual stage. The participating companies and partners presented their new products and interesting innovations. Among the participants, many well-established brands such as Umarex, Zeiss, Walther, Savage Arms, Fausti, KrieghoffSwarovski Optik. But also young companies and IWA newcomers: Liqui Moly, Rodale, Lockboxx, Tactical Workshop Hoffmann, ICU Server and Viking X, to name a few.

With the help of industry experts, cross-industry trend topics such as Specialist Trade 4.0 or sustainability played a role at the IWA Studio Edition.  

Asked about his involvement, Ingo Meinhard, Managing Director of the Association of German Gunsmiths (VDB), explained: "The IWA Studio Edition is a very exciting concept. We, as the ideal sponsor and long-time partner, fully support the activities and are proud to be a part of the event!"

The IWA Studio Edition was the first part of the "Road to IWA OutdoorClassics 2022" event series, which includes regular online live talks and events until the start of the trade show in March 2022.
