Analysis: IWA and Enforce Tac 2014

At the time the success story of IWA OutdoorClassics began in 1973, it was not foreseeable that the event would develop into the most important international meeting place for the sector in the following four decades. With growth in the number of exhibitors and net display space of a good 11 per cent and the opening of another – the ninth – exhibition hall, IWA OutdoorClassics 2014 was bigger than ever. And more international too: the exhibiting companies came to Nürnberg from 54 countries, 78 per cent of them from abroad (2013: 1,209 exhibitors from 50 countries). The leading exhibiting countries after Germany were the USA, Italy, Turkey and Great Britain.

The exhibitors at this year’s IWA OutdoorClassics were exceptionally satisfied with the quality of the trade visitors, but the bare figures were also right: IWA OutdoorClassics 2014 set another record with a rise of some three per cent to over 39,000 trade visitors from all over the world (2013: 38,265 trade visitors*).

The New Product Center attracted a very good response from the visitors and enabled them to first obtain a compact overview of around 80 new products from all segments of the exhibition on arrival in the Mitte entrance area.

Enforce Tac 2014: gathering of specialists from official agencies

Enforce Tac, the International Exhibition & Conference – Law Enforcement, Security and Tactical Solutions had two changes to offer right from the start – the earlier opening days on Wednesday and Thursday before IWA OutdoorClassics and a new location in hall 10.1 of the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg. The third edition of this specialist exhibition for security experts from the police, judiciary, frontier protection, customs, military police or armed forces increased the number of exhibitors from 50 in 2013 to 79 this year and the display space almost doubled. Altogether almost 1,700 visitors from official agencies came to Nürnberg again for Enforce Tac 2014, 39 per cent of them from abroad. A total of some 420 representatives from official agencies attended the parallel European Policetrainer Conference, arranged by Polizeitrainer in Deutschland e.V. (PiD – Policetrainers in Germany Association), and the conference on “Guns and Equipment”, which is organized by the Police Management Academy of Münster (DHPol).
