UK Game Fair 2017, the world largest countryside show

The Game Fair 2017 will take place on 28 - 30th July 2017 at Hatfield House (UK).

The Game Fair is a celebration of British Field Sports and Country Life. The three-day event takes place on 28 - 30th July 2017, at Hatfield House, Hertfordshire, 14 miles Northwest of London. The Fair will be 59 years old this year and is open from 6 am - 7.30pm Friday, 6 am - 6 pm Saturday and Sunday.

Last year’s Game Fair, held at Ragley Hall, Warwickshire, attracted a record breaking 107,000 visitors. Countryside fans travelled to the show from across the country and Europe to meet with old friends, colleagues, and to find out about the latest news and developments in country pursuits and the rural sector.

The event boasts a comprehensive collection of activities for the whole family, including gundog handling, clay shooting, archery, fishing, falconry and ferreting. Visitors can also enjoy a host of food, drink and shopping stalls, as well as outdoor activities such as off-road driving. Dogs are welcome at the event, and there is a dog Creche open from 9 am - 5 pm daily, charging an hourly fee to look after your pet while you enjoy The Game Fair.

Gunmakers’ Row is the place to view the best and newest products from British gunmakers as well as renowned names from around the world.

As the world’s largest countryside show, The Game Fair also boasts the most extensive outdoor shooting exhibition held anywhere in the UK, with a full itinerary for lovers of shooting including clay, rifle and airgun shooting as we all as have-a-go events, demonstrations and competitions. Gunmakers’ Row is the place to view the best and newest products from British gunmakers as well as renowned names from around the world. All of the premier shooting-related companies are found in one place, offering every accessory imaginable from knives to clothing.

The Game Fair’s Shooting Line, run by E.J. Churchill, has become a staple feature. It allows visitors the opportunity to have a mid-summer shoot out with competitions and other shooting activities and demonstrations. The Game Fair is home to Europe’s Longest Shooting Line; it is 585 meters long. The SubaruShooting Line will support shooters of all disciplines and abilities, so if you are a novice looking to try something new over the weekend, or a seasoned-pro gathering top tips to advance your shooting, then this is the place for you. There is also a secure Gun Safe located on Gunmakers’ Row. 

The Hull Cartridge Company are the official cartridge supplier to The Game Fair and are celebrating their 70th Anniversary. The brand was awarded ‘By Appointment to H.M the Queen, Manufacturers of Shotgun Cartridges’ in 1992, and are the only family owned cartridge manufacturer in the UK.

2016’s Game Fair was the highlight for thousands of sporting men and women. James Gower, Managing Director of The Game Fair, said: “We’ve been blown away by the amazing feedback from exhibitors and the public alike. In 2016 the Game Fair attracted a record breaking 107,000 visitors from across the country and Europe.

For the first time in its history, the event opened its doors to the whole spectrum of countryside associations making it the most inclusive Game Fair ever. The likes of NFU Mutual, Countryside Alliance, British Association of Shooting and Conservation (BASC), and The Clay Pigeon Shooting Association were all at the show along with thousands of their members.
