The market for silencers has developed significantly in recent years. Whereas in the past the focus was primarily on pure suppression performance, today the user's requirements go far beyond this. These include weight, overall length, material selection, and, not least, how much a silencer affects a rifle's balance and handling. This is a crucial point, especially for hunters who use their equipment under changing conditions in the field. With this in mind, Hausken is launching the HX-Ti3, a new model designed to strike the sweet spot in this complex interplay of performance, handling, and modern design.
Compact size for everyday hunting: Hausken HX-Ti3 silencer

With a weight of 235 grams, an overall length of 184 millimeters and a diameter of 45 millimeters, the HX-Ti3 is one of the lightest and most compact models of its type. As an over-barrel silencer, it extends 84 millimeters back over the barrel, while the rifle is extended forward by 100 millimeters. This is important from a hunting point of view, as it prevents the gun from becoming excessively long, thereby maintaining its maneuverability as far as possible.
Whether stalking, traversing rough terrain for long periods or participating in a driven hunt, many shooters find the added weight on a rifle's front end bothersome. A compact silencer also helps to harmonize the overall appearance of the gun. The HX-Ti3 is therefore of particular interest to users who prefer a combination of rifle and silencer that is as handy as possible, without compromising on modern technology and robust construction.
Titanium and 3D printing characterize the Hausken HX-Ti3
The HX-Ti3's design is the primary factor in its success. Hausken manufactures the model entirely from 100 per cent titanium using a 3D printing process. This construction method reflects a trend that is now also becoming increasingly popular in the hunting sector: additive manufacturing is no longer considered a niche technical field, but is finding its way into mass-produced products. In the case of the HX-Ti3, this manufacturing method is not just a side note, but is a key feature of the model: titanium is a material that is particularly valued where low weight is to be combined with high durability. In the context of a silencer, this means above all robustness against stress, weathering and corrosion, without the component being unnecessarily heavy. With the HX-Ti3, the choice of material and design go hand in hand.

Hausken HX-Ti3 in detail
According to the manufacturer, the HX-Ti3 achieves a sound reduction of up to 30 dB and is available for calibers from .22 to .338 or up to 8.65 mm, depending on the version. Magnum calibers are also included in the intended range of applications. As a platform, bolt-action rifles take center stage, with applications ranging from hunting to sporting and tactical shooting. The model is available in the color variants Graphite Black and FDE (Flat Dark Earth).
In addition, the silencer is designed to reduce recoil and muzzle flip while supporting consistent accuracy. The HX-Ti3 thus joins the generation of silencers that are not just seen as an additional component, but as an integral part of a harmonized system.

Hausken HX-Ti3: A wide range of applications from hunting to the shooting range
In practical terms, the HX-Ti3 should be of particular interest to hunters who want to use it in a light and maneuverable setup. Its weight and design make it ideal for use in mountain hunting, stalking and driven hunts. Those who regularly cover long distances on the hunting ground will also appreciate such a setup.
At the same time, the model is not limited to classic hunting use. The HX-Ti3 should also cut a fine figure at the shooting range – the manufacturer even refers to "tactical shooting" as its intended use. In this respect, the hunter does not have to worry about his suppressor even on the range when shooting longer strings. Added to this is the wide range of calibers, which further expands the range of applications and makes the model interesting for very different configurations.

Conclusion: First impression of the Hausken HX-Ti3
With the HX-Ti3, Hausken is expanding its range with a new titanium silencer for bolt-action rifles that is designed for hunting and the shooting range alike. The key technical data – 235 grams in weight, 184 mm in length, 45 mm in diameter, up to 30 dB sound reduction and available for calibers from .22 to .338, including Magnum ones – paint the picture of a compact and widely applicable model which, thanks to the choice of material, can cope not only with adverse conditions but also with long strings on the shooting range.
According to our information, the Hausken HX-Ti3 will be available in several caliber groups from mid-March: as a 5.70mm version for .22/.223/5.56, as a 7.25mm version for 6mm and7 mm, as a 7.85mm version for .30 /.300/.308, as an 8.25mm version for 8mm S and as an 8.65mm version for .338, all in the color variant Black, the 7.85mm version also in FDE. The silencer is available in each version for a price of around 990 euros (price depending on the specific retailer and country).
We are currently planning a long-term test of the Hausken HX-Ti3. Naturally, it will take some time to put it through its paces. You will of course find the results as usual here at all4hunters.com!
