From Benelli two new shotguns for Dynamic Shooting: Nova Speed and M2 Speed

As in all shooting sports, even in Dynamic Shooting or IPSC the gun is essential to achieve the best results. That's why, on the one hand, competitive shooters tend to not want to change the gun with which they have been shooting successfully for years, but on the other hand they are always interested in new products that could guarantee them that extra clay pigeon or that “A” that could get them to the podium.

Nova Speed, the manual repeater

The Nova Speed is part of the Speed shotgun family and provides the shooter with an unprecedented fluidity and speed of loading. The technical and ergonomic features of the Nova Speed were pushed to the max to create a gun that is competition ready right out of the box. Featuring the ComforTech 3 system, combined with the Combtech comb, which significantly reduces felt recoil, allowing a lightning-fast realignment on the target and extreme accuracy. Among the "match" details of the new Benelli Nova Speed are the redesigned trigger guard and trigger group, the oversized and flared loading port, a 12-round tubular magazine and, above all, a redesigned short-stroke fore-end to offer the shooter a fast and always-ready gun. The Benelli Nova Speed is chambered in 12-gauge with 3”/76 mm Magnum chamber and is available with 24”/61 cm or 25.6”/65 cm barrels. It comes with interchangeable **/***/**** chokes, plus a special Ampliator choke for broader patterns and a long shot choke. The receiver is made of Ergal with "Racing Grey" finish, while the stock and fore-end are made of technopolymer with gripping surfaces featuring the proprietary Air Touch checkering that makes the action and the grip extremely secure and at the same time reduces hand perspiration. The tube magazine has a capacity of 11 cartridges in 12/76 gauge or 12 cartridges in 12/70 gauge and is connected to the barrel by a beautiful anodized aluminum bracket. The sights consist of a micrometrically adjustable rear sight and a red fiber optic front sight. Unloaded weight is 116.4 oz/3300 g.

M2 Speed, the semi-automatic

Let's now see the M2 Speed model, which is built around the classic Inertia Driven System patented by Benelli, with a rotating bolt, reliable and easy to clean. The gun otherwise shares all the cosmetic and operational features of the previous model. The most evident difference, apart from the operating system, is the bolt's BE.S.T. (Benelli Surface Treatment) finish, a proprietary treatment that, besides having a superior aesthetic value, guarantees high resistance to scratches, abrasion, corrosion, acids, all accompanied by anti-adhandesive properties that reduce the accumulation of deposits and makes cleaning easier. The bolt with BE.S.T. treatment significantly improves the sliding friction coefficient and the cycling speed. Very effective, both from an aesthetic and operational point of view, the charging handle is oversized and red-colored, like the bolt release. The retail price of the two new models is 1540 euro for the Nova Speed and 2150 euro for the M2 Speed.
