“Are you looking for the ultimate precision semi-auto 22 LR? The VF-ORYX is just that.” Volquartsen Firearms makes no mystery about the latest addition to the company's rimfire rifle lineup and its qualities. The new .22 rifle takes the name from the ORYX chassis, designed for shooting from the bench, with a bipod, or in a prone position – “From the forend to the buttpad, the ORYX is a one-piece aircraft grade aluminum setup.” The rifle has a forend grip, adjustable cheek riser, and overmolded pistol grip. It also features a .25" spacer in the buttpad for adjustable LOP. (The ORYX chassis is also available as a stand alone product and will fit most 10/22 style receivers, BTW).
The CNC-machined stainless steel receiver features an integral 20 MOA rail for long-range shooting. Another interesting detail, the free floating Snake Fluted Barrel is threaded into the receiver increasing rigidity between barrel and action.
The bolt, which is also CNC-machined, includes a titanium round firing pin and tuned extractor for improved performance and function, while the TG2000 trigger group provides a 2.25 lb trigger pull with clean characteristics – both pretravel and overtravel are user-adjustable.

The latter includes a Zeiss Conquest V4 6-24x50 and rings preinstalled. Prices in the US for the VF-ORYX and VF-ORYX-S are $1944 and $3269, respectively.
