CZ 457 series: three new rimfire bolt-action rifles with muzzle thread and available from May 2020

New for 2020: The Czech manufacturer Česká Zbrojovka is further expanding its successful CZ 457 bolt-action rifle series in .22 Long Rifle with the models – Synthetic Threaded, Thumbhole Threaded and Long Range Precision Threaded. They are intended for hunting, sport and training. We are introducing here the three rimfire repeaters with integrated muzzle thread for accessories of all kinds in more detail.

Česká Zbrojovka is expanding its CZ 457 rimfire rifle series with 3 attractive models featuring an integrated muzzle thread. The CZ 457 Thumbhole Threaded Rimfire in .22 LR shown here is a real eye-catcher with its thumbhole laminated wood stock. The barrel is factory equipped with a compensator in both available lengths of 16" and 20".

For more than 70 years Česká Zbrojovka has been known and appreciated worldwide for the development and manufacturing of rimfire rifles. With the current CZ 457 bolt-action rifle series, the manufacturer has brought together all the important advantages of the previous generation, offering a new line that combines reliability, high accuracy and shooting comfort in addition to long-lasting quality. That‘s what the manufacturer says. We are looking forward to receice our first test samples soon.

The already extensive CZ 457 family with numerous equipment options is now joined by 3 eye-catching models, all of which bear the word "Threaded" in their name. All three rifles feature in fact barrels with 1/2x20 UNF muzzle threads and thread cover, which makes a later upgrade with suppressors or other muzzle attachments much easier.

The CZ 457 Synthetic Threaded Small Caliber in .22 LR with synthetic stock is available with either 16" or 20" barrel lengths.

Features, specs and prices of the new CZ 457 "Threaded” rimfire rifles

CZ 457 Synthetic Threaded: The 5.29 lb/2.4 kg Synthetic Threaded model with polymer stock featuring an easy-to-use "soft-touch" finish and adjustable trigger is available with a choice of 16"/406 mm and 20"/508 mm barrels. Price: 440 euro.

CZ 457 Thumbhole Threaded: The 7 lb/3.2 kg "Thumbhole Threaded" model is equipped with a neat thumbhole laminated wood stock with raised cheek piece for an ideal head position when shooting with scope and an adjustable trigger. This rimfire repeater is also optionally available with 16"/406 mm and 20"/508 mm long barrels, whereby a compensator with circumferential gas ports is factory mounted on the muzzle thread. Price: 798 euro.

CZ 457 Long Range Precision Threaded: The crowning glory is the 7.76 lb/3.52 kg LR Precision Threaded model with a sleekly designed laminated wood stock with height-adjustable cheek piece, adjustable trigger, continuous Picatinny mounting rail on top of the receiver and 20"/508 mm long match barrel with compensator. The distance from the trigger to the butt plate (length of pull, or LOP) can be adjusted between 351 and 382 mm. Price: 1099 euro.

New top version: the CZ 457 LR Precision Threaded Small Caliber in .22 LR comes with a versatile adjustable, gray lacquered laminated wood stock, continuous optics rail and 20" barrel with compensator.

The box magazine holds five rimfire cartridges for all three models, which will be available from May 2020
