The Steiner ATLAS (Advanced Tactical Laser Aiming System) – a next-generation aiming and illumination device engineered for real-time mission adaptability – is now available to military, law enforcement, professional security teams, and for the consumer market too. The key feature of the ATLAS is its five-emitter system including a co-aligned visible laser, near-infrared (NIR) laser, long-range VCSEL illuminator, and two NIR LED illuminators, with a single set of adjusters for fast & easy zeroing and co-alignment retention. This provides exceptional target engagement capability across CQB, mid-range, and extended-range engagements.
In detail, the specs are: pointer beam divergence 0.8 mrad maximum for ultra-long-range target engagement; ultra-wide 40°-50° fixed LED NIR illuminator beam divergence for CQB operations; medium range 10°-15°LED NIR illuminator beam; long range 2°-3°VSCEL Illuminator beam with minimum speckle.
Steiner ATLAS, low profile and compact size
Steiner claims that the ATLAS offers best-in-class ergonomics and ensures seamless integration with standard optics: a compact footprint and low-profile integrated bolt-mount for seamless compatibility with standard optics, a five-position mode switch, and three tactile buttons positioned for natural handling and ambidextrous controls optimized for gloved hands are the highlights here.
The housing is lightweight magnesium alloy: the ATLAS is in fact a rugged device built to operate in harsh environments. Multiple power output settings – high, medium, and low – allow operators to adapt quickly to shifting mission requirements.
MSRP for the Steiner ATLAS is $4,024.99.
