From 23 to 25 February 2026, Nuremberg will once again become the center of the international security and defence industry. More than 1,000 exhibitors from Europe and neighbouring NATO countries will present themselves at Enforce Tac, which will take place under the guiding theme of "Networked Security". The trade fair is growing to eight halls with a total area of around 65,000 square meters, including the Enforce Tac Village in the Frankenhalle. The trade fair has now announced additional support of the highest caliber.
Patronage by Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz

In 2026, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz will take over the patronage of Enforce Tac. “We want to be able to defend ourselves so that we will not have to defend ourselves. Defence is whole-of-society challenge. It is also an indispensable prerequisite for the resilience and future viability of our country. Enforce Tac embodies this comprehensive approach to security. And therefore, I am honoured to sponsor this event,” explained Merz.
This is also of particular importance, as Enforce Tac 2026 is taking place against the backdrop of the changing international security order: in view of geopolitical tensions, hybrid threats and new conventional risks, the focus is shifting to strengthening the resilience of the state, economy and society. Enforce Tac sees itself as a forum for dialogue on precisely this approach to security for society as a whole. Peter Ottmann, CEO of NürnbergMesse, comments: "The Federal Chancellor’s support is a great honour for us. It also bears a weight of responsibility. It vindicates our approach of developing Enforce Tac into a leading platform for all security-relevant sectors and players. The Federal Chancellor’s honorary sponsorship role gives heightened strategic importance to the dialogue between government officials, public authorities, security forces, and industry players."
Background: the Federal Chancellor is not only the head of government. Should Germany ever have to defend itself, the Federal Chancellor would also be the holder of command and control in such a defence situation, i.e. Commander-in-Chief of the Bundeswehr (Article 115b of the Basic Law, "Lex Churchill"). In peacetime, this is the Minister of Defence.
Beyond the mere presentation of technology, Enforce Tac aims to advance the cause of collaborative security in a networked Europe. It sees itself as a platform that brings politics, emergency services, governments, industry and society closer together. Especially in times of growing insecurity, this dialogue should be seen as a decisive factor for Europe's security architecture, according to the trade fair.

Enforce Tac also owes its success to its previous patron Joachim Herrmann
The role of Bavarian state politics in the development of the trade fair was also emphasised. “The personal support of the Bavarian Minister-President has been indispensable to the success that Enforce Tac enjoys today. I especially also want to thank State Minister Joachim Herrmann, who has supported Enforce Tac as honorary sponsor for over a decade. The trade fair’s evolution has been permanently shaped by the strategic impetus he has provided,” says Ottmann.
Outlook: Enforce Tac 2026
With political backing from Berlin and Munich and its steadily growing importance as a meeting place for the industry, Enforce Tac 2026 aims to set new standards. It will not only be a showcase for technological innovations, but also a forum for strategic responses to the security policy challenges of the coming years. And of course we will be there again: as usual for all4shooters.com, we will also be on site in Nuremberg in 2026 and report on all the innovations and background information from the trade fair.
