The 10mm quiet resurgence continues: Smith & Wesson expands the M&P range of pistols chambered for the “Big Ten” with the new Performance Center M&P 10mm.
The new model features a long ported slide with porting in the barrel that makes it “a more accurate and more manageable 10mm handgun” according to the manufacturer's claim.
The ported barrel in fact reduces muzzle flip and perceived recoil, allowing for faster and more accurate follow-up shots. The Perfomance Cetner tuning job can also be noticed in the M2.0 flat trigger which, thanks to an enhanced tuning, provides a crisp break and audible reset, leading to more accurate and faster shooting.

Smith & Wesson Performance Center M&P 10mm, a “step up”
“A perfect option for those looking to step up their game,” the Performance Center M&P 10mm pistol is a full-size striker fired, polymer framed gun and comes with an optic-ready slide. Tall white-dot night sights with tritium inserts are standard – the long-slide also allows for a larger sight radius.
The optimal 18-degree grip angle provides for a natural point of aim, while four interchangeable palmswell grip inserts (in S, M, ML and L sizes) ensure optimal hand fit and trigger reach.. Recoil management is made easier by the enhanced and comfortable grip texture.
The M&P M2.0 stainless steel ported barrel is 5.6”/142 mm long, with a 1 in 10˝ twist.
Inside the polymer frame, an extended rigid embedded stainless steel chassis reduces flex and torque when firing. M&P’s patented take-down lever and sear deactivation systems allow for disassembly without pulling the trigger. Metal parts are protected by an Armornite durable corrosion resistant finish.
The new Performance Center M&P chambered for the powerful 10mm cartridge is fed by capacious 15-round magazines (two are included) and in the U.S. carries an MSRP of $749.
