To the delight of purists, Smith & Wesson is now also offering a new line of super classic revolvers without the obnoxious, unaesthetic, and pretty useless internal lock. Models offered for now include: .38 Special Model 10, with 6-shot cylinder, 4" lightweight tapered barrel, integrated hump front sight, square-butt and high-grade smooth walnut grips (MSRP: $979); .357 Magnum Model 19, with 6-shot cylinder, 4.25" barrel, checkered wood grips, Combat trigger (MSRP: $1,099); and .38 Special Model 36, with 5-shot cylinder, 1.88" thin barrel, integrated hump front sight, and checkered wood grips (MSRP: $849).

All the (very classic) no-lock revolvers come with a blued finish, of course.

Smith & Wesson 1854 Stealth Hunter lever action rifle

Modern interpretations of the old lever-action rifle are very much in vogue, so that alongside the “big players” such as Ruger, Winchester and S&W, many gunsmiths are also offering custom models. Last year, S&W presented its new lever action rifles for the first time, as we reported

Now the young series is being expanded with the “Stealth Hunter” models with special features such as a light alloy hanguard with M-LOK slots, a long optics mounting rail and a muzzle thread. The mechanical sights consist of an XS Sights adjustable ghost rear ring sight and a luminous HIVIZ H3 front sight for day and night use as well as fast target acquisition. Weighing 3,265 grams, the S&W 1854 Stealth Hunter in .357 Magnum has a 19.25“ (489 mm) barrel with 1-14” twist and 5/8x24 muzzle thread. The magazine tube has a capacity of 10 cartridges. The 2,917 and 2,875 gram lever-action rifles in .44 Magnum and .45 Colt come with a 16.3“ (414 mm) barrel (twist in .44 = 1:20”; in .45 = 1:16") and 11/16x24 muzzle thread. The magazine capacity in these two calibers is 8 cartridges. The magazine tube can be quickly removed for safe unloading of the rifle.

Typical trademarks of the S&W 1854 Stealth Hunter lever-action rifles are the generously dimensioned loop lever and the straight trigger blade. The three lever-action rifles in the new series are available in the three classic revolver calibers .357 Magnum, .44 Magnum and .45 Colt.
