New Beretta 92X Performance Optic pistol – With optics ready slide

The new Beretta 92X Performance Optic, built on a Vertec steel frame featuring a straight backstrap, incorporates all the latest market trends, starting with the "optics ready" Brigadier slide, which is designed for the direct mounting of a mini-reflex red dot sight.

On the Beretta 92X Performance Optic the ambidextrous manual safety has been moved to the frame.

Five different mounting plates are available (all information on models and compatibility can be found on the Beretta.com website), which can be purchased separately in gun stores or on the Beretta online store.

The Beretta 92X Performance Optic features a micrometrically adjustable rear sight and a front sight with red fiber optic insert.

The slide has “saw tooth” cocking serrations on the front section as well.

But the aesthetically most pleasing details are without doubt the black barrel and controls, creating an appealing dual tone look with the Nistan-finished frame and slide.

The “match” take-down lever and oversized mag button – already seen on the Production model – can also be found on the new Beretta gun.

The optics cut on the slide has required the manual safety to be moved to the frame, a solution already adopted on several models. Thanks to the steel frame, the weight of the 92X Performance Optic is 1,350 grams, which makes the gun extremely pleasant to shoot, also reducing muzzle flip.

Both the front- and backstrap are checkered for a better grip.

The "Optics Ready" Brigadier slide is designed for the direct mounting of a mini-reflex red dot sight.

The oversized magazine pad, together with the back- and front strap frame checkering, improve the pistol's grip too.

The Beretta 92X Performance Optic is chambered in 9mm caliber (9x19) with a 15 round double-stack magazine.

Like the previous Production model, the 92X Performance Production Optic Ready is equipped with the Extreme-S trigger mechanism and features the possibility of adjusting trigger overtravel, reducing reset by about 40% compared to the pistols of the historic 90 series, without compromising the renowned characteristics of reliability and safety.

Other features in common with the Production model include the skeletonized hammer with a competition standard hammer spring, “match” take-down lever, oversized mag button and extended beavertail.

The pistol comes in a case with two 15-round magazines, a polymer wrap-around grip, a magazine loader and a safety lock.
