Beretta 92G Elite LTT, upgrading a classic

Among the innovations presented by Beretta at HIT Show, 2019 the latest version of the 92/98FS platform, one of the most iconic handguns ever produced in Italy, was subject of great interest. After almost thirty years of production this gun is still current and has been produced in a large number of versions.

The last 9mm variant is named 92G Elite LTT, and those accustomed to Beretta acronyms will have already understood that the letter “G” indicates that the pistol features a "Gendarmerie"-type safety, whose lever on the slide actually only acts as a decocking lever, automatically returning to ready-to-fire condition.

Among the most notable features of the Beretta 92G Elite LTT, the stainless steel target-crowned barrel flush with the slide with .

The LTT acronym refers to Ernest Langdon of Langdon Tactical Technology, a military shooting instructor with over thirty years of experience in training law enforcement officers in the US. Langdon is the founder of the company that actively collaborates with Beretta in special projects.

The Beretta Elite LTT is characterized by an extremely aggressive look. Among its custom features we find the beveled magazine well with no lanyard loop, G10 ultra-thin grips with diamond-shaped checkering and hex head screws, an oversized magazine release button,  a skeletonized lightweight hammer, a stainless steel trigger and spring guide, a 4.7” / 122 mm stainless steel barrel with satin finish and target crown. Front sight has a red fiber optical insert, while the back sight is adjustable with an anti-glare textured surface. The Vertec/M9A3 slide features front cocking serrations, and dust cover offers the usual rail for mounting accessories. Action is single/double, also available with the D model lightened hammer spring. Magazine capacity is 15 rounds, and the loaded gun weighs 34.78 oz / 986 g. 

Retail price in the US is 1100 USD and 1390 euro in Europe.
