Primary Arms Compact PLxC 1-8x24 SFP with ACSS NOVA reticle – model extension now available

The Primary Arms Compact PLxC 1-8x24 SFP lives up to its name thanks to its short design.

The Primary Arms Compact PLxC 1-8x24 SFP with the ACSS NOVA  fiber wire reticle is characterised in particular by its versatility in combination with high optical performance and a compact, lightweight design.

The riflescope is now also available as an 8x zoom in Europe via US brand importer Ferkinghoff International. We have taken this as an opportunity to take a closer look at the compact optics.

Primary Arms Compact PLxC 1-8x24 SFP with ACSS NOVA reticle, now available via Ferkinghoff International, in detail

The Primary Arms Compact PLxC 1-8x24 SFP riflescope with ACSS NOVA fiber wire reticle comes with a choice of black or FDE coating. The exit pupil diameter is 8 millimeters at the lowest magnification and 3 millimeters at maximum magnification. Eye relief varies between 8.13 centimeters at low magnification and 9.4 centimeters at high magnification. The field of view at 100 metres ranges from 36.88 meters at the lowest magnification to 4.57 meters at maximum magnification. The Compact PLxC 1-8x24 SFP has a length of just over 23 centimeters and weighs around 476 grams.

The Primary Arms Compact PLxC 1-8x24 SFP is optionally available with a black color scheme or in FDE (image).
The NOVA reticle of the Primary Arms Compact PLxC 1-8x24 SFP is similar to the familiar reticle #4, but has wind and target hash marks.

The new riflescope offers a so-called Red Dot Bright aiming point thanks to the use of fiber optic technology. This technology is designed to enable faster target acquisition at short to medium ranges. The NOVA reticle, which has now been added to the model range, initially resembles a traditional 4-crosshair reticle, which has a large number of wind and additional hash marks on the horizontal crosshair and in the lower area of the vertical crosshair. Primary Arms specifies the maximum adjustment range for both the widage and elevation adjustment as 100 MOA. The reticle adjustment is based on milliradians (mrad) and takes place in 0.1 mrad increments, which corresponds to an adjustment of 1 cm at 100 metres. This system complements the NOVA reticle, which is also based on mrad. The scope is therefore aimed at users who require both precision and speed for target acquisition. It is therefore ideally positioned in the market, for example in the increasingly popular dynamic rifle shooting sector, but also for driven hunts.
