Beretta A400 Upland 28 gauge Magnum semi-automatic, a new look and new barrel length

The Beretta A400 semi-automatic shotgun in 28 gauge shares the sleek lines and high performance of the 12- and 20-gauge versions thanks to Beretta's proprietary B-Link gas-operated system. A touch of originality is provided by the new laser engraving, specific to the 28 gauge version: the traditional hunting scenes that decorate the receiver of the 12- and 20-gauge models have been replaced with the A400 Upland logo, while two large “28” numbers are engraved on the back of the receiver, with geometric fill patterns.

The Beretta A400 Upland semi-automatic in 28 gauge offers the hunter on ergonomic pistol grip and forend design, Beretta's Steelium barrel and Optimachoke HP flush choke. Initially available with a barrel length of 71 centimeters, now the new A400 Upland will also be available with a 76-centimeter barrel.

The Beretta A400 Upland in 28 ga maintains the classic elegant look of the models in different gauges, with a fine, refined nickel-plated receiver and walnut stock and forend. A contemporary touch is provided by the new laser engraving, specific to the 28-gauge version: the hunting scene of the 12- and 20-gauge models gives way to the A400 Upland logo, while two large “28” numbers are engraved on the back of the receiver, with geometric fill patterns.

The B-Link gas operating system with rotating bolt head offers the user absolute reliability with any type of cartridge.

Ergonomics and ease of use are key elements in the development of every Beretta product. In keeping with the design of the A400 Upland, the pistol grip and forend improve the comfort of the shotgun and enhance its overall appearance and classic, elegant design. The Beretta Extralight recoil pad offers the user greater lightness, abrasion resistance, and protection from chemicals and weather.

On the Beretta A400 Upland length-of-pull (the distance between the recoil pad and the trigger) can be adjusted with standard Beretta spacers for semi-automatic shotguns, which can be purchased separately. The A400 Upland features the B-Link system, which combines the power of the gas-operated system and the precision of the rotating head bolt to ensure a fast and reliable firing cycle with all types of ammunition.

For the 28-gauge version, this mechanism has been adapted and optimized to ensure maximum performance with a wide range of 28-gauge ammunition, from the lowest load up to cartridges with over 30-gram payloads. The cartridge chamber is 76 mm (3") long and allows the firing of magnum-type ammunition.

The magazine cap with B-Lok system allows for better control and increased safety, ensuring a perfect and safe closure with only 60 degrees of rotation instead of multiple turns. With the B-Lok cap, it is easier to handle the gun in the most extreme conditions or while wearing gloves.

The new Beretta A400 Upland semi-automatic in 28 gauge is available with both 71- and 76-centimeter barrels.

As with the 12- and 20-gauge versions, the A400 Upland in 28 gauge features barrels with proprietary Steelium technology, featuring a double forcing cone that reaches a length of 80 mm (in 76-cm barrels). In all gauges, the barrel of the A400 Upland features a 6x6 mm flat ventilated rib with a fiber optic front sight that makes aiming and target acquisition easier.

The A400 Upland is fitted with an Optimachoke HP flush choke. Made of high-strength steel (three chokes are included in the package), these chokes offer unparalleled resistance to corrosion and steel shot power.
