From Beretta, the new 687 Silver Pigeon V hunting over-and-under in 12-ga magnum

The Nistan finish achieved with an tin and nickel alloy makes metal surfaces shiny and corrosion-resistant.

The Beretta Silver Pigeon hunting over-and-under shotgun evolves with the V version, representing the top of the range of "standard" over-and-unders from the Italian company. Diana's followers will love even more this effective and reliable gun that requires minimal maintenance – all qualities inherited from the 680 platform.

The 687 Silver Pigeon V comes with a revamped look combined with a stock made from superior grade wood.

The exquisite engraving of the receiver is done with state-of-the-art five-axis laser technology and are embellished by a special sparkle in the bas-relief areas, which creates a pleasing contrast effect, highlighting the deep scroll motifs on the receiver, opening lever, trigger guard, locking shoulders, pins and forend release. The gloss oil finish enhances grain and protects the fine Class 3 wood from rain and humid climates, a leap from the Silver Pigeon III's Class 2.5 woods. Topping it all off is unerring ballistics thanks to Steelium OptimaBore HP tri-alloy steel barrels.

The receiver of the 687 Silver Pigeon V is derived from the legendary 680 series: it features a slim and elegant shape, characterized by the tried-and-tested locking system with iconic trapezoid shoulders and dual conical locking lugs. The exquisite floral engraving reproduces a design created by master engravers of Gardone Val Trompia and also extends to the bottom of the receiver (where the shotgun model and Beretta's three arrow logo are shown), opening lever, trigger guard, locking shoulders, pins and forend release.

For this shotgun the most modern Beretta five-axis laser technology was used, capable of engraving even rounded surfaces with great harmony and reproducing, even in the bas-relief areas, a precious contrast effect that tipically characterizes premium shotguns. The top view of the gun shows a special finish that highlights the new engraving of the opening lever, the elegant design of the receiver, and the pattern on the locking shoulders. The single selective trigger is gold-plated. The selector is located inside the safety tang which, with a quick and easy sideways movement, allows the user to select the barrel for the first shot.

The super-reliable and sturdy ejection system is the tried-and-tested version used on 680 platform that boasts more than one million guns in use over the course of more than 30 years.
