Zamberlan Lynx: winter boots for hill and mountain hunting

We wore Zamberlan Lynx boots while hunting in the hills and mountains in late autumn and early winter.

For hunters looking for a structured boot with an ankle-high upper that can be both protective and multi-purpose in the hills and mountains, the Lynx boots could be a good solution to consider. Not too light, with a standard weight of around 800 grams, the Lynx proves to be a typical boot to enjoy in autumn and winter without fearing damp or cold weather even in the most demanding environments. Its lacing system is in fact designed precisely for the coldest days when adjusting the fit in seconds and without the need for several manual steps can be not only practical but also safe. With the Lynx model, Zamberlan offers a hunting boot that combines Italian manufacturing skills and American technology.

Zamberlan Lynx: details and features

The hunter can easily adjust the fit in a moment for greater comfort, adapting it to different phases of hunting and movement. The BOA Fit System guarantees a micro-adjustable precision fit and is comfortable, durable and waterproof, making the Lynx a suitable boot for all situations where hunters finds themselves traversing the thickest undergrowth or inaccessible mountain areas where it is preferable to keep their hands free.

The leather upper and Boa lacing system characterise the traditional look and technology of the Zamberlan Lynx boots.

The full-grain leather upper is soft and flexible when walking, pretty high to better protect your ankles and an additional feature at the malleolus area thanks to the Flex-System joint that facilitates the natural rolling of the foot.
The boot's fit is wide thanks to the Wide Last design that offers greater comfort and considerable support space for the forefoot. The Vibram outsole features a design that ensures good grip on both rocky terrain and muddy undergrowth. A toe reinforcement in the area of greatest friction protects your feet from shocks. To protect from cold, water and moisture, the boot's interior features a Gore-Tex lining membrane that provides thermoregulation and breathability. The upper outside, on the other hand, is protected by the Hydrobloc treatment, which increases water repellency. We tested the Zamberlan Lynx boots on days spent hunting in the hills and mountains, finding them to be stable in terms of support and precise during movements, but thanks to the comfort provided above all by the wide fit, they should also be considered suitable for those who often spend their hunting time waiting up and need comfortable support.
