SIG Sauer P320-M17 - now available for the civil market

It’s finally here: SIG Sauer has just announced the introduction to the market of the commercial variant of the US Army’s M17 official service pistol. In January 2017 the SIG Sauer M17 – based on the already known and appreciated P320 pistol platform – was awarded the Modular Handgun System (MHS) contract for the U.S. Army after a long and competitive review process. The new commercial version, called the P320-M17, closely follows the specifications of the US Army M17.

The 9mm M17 is a striker-fired pistol featuring a coyote-tan PVD coated stainless steel slide with the same optic cut as specified by the MHS contract, and black controls just like the pistols currently being shipped to the US Army. The pistol comes equipped with a SIGLITE front night sight and removable Night Sight rear plate. Two magazines are included. The P320-M17 also features a coyote-tan carry-length grip module, available in three sizes, and comes standard with a manual safety. Non-manual safety P320-M17 pistols will be shipped at a later date.

The manufacturer's suggested retail price for the P320-M17 will be 768 USD, with shipping to stores starting in August 2018.
