By now, we're almost used to the extravagant shotguns that various Turkish manufacturers keep bringing to the international market. EGE Arms adds another to the collection with the LEVAR12S, a shotgun that looks as though it came straight out of Fallout: angular lines, tactical-looking accessories and an appearance that is decidedly unconventional.
Beneath the unusual exterior, however, is a straightforward mechanical combination: a manually operated lever action feeding from a detachable magazine.
EGE Arms is the brand name used by EGE Group, a Turkish company founded in 2018 and based in Izmir. Active in the hunting and defense sectors, the company combines firearms exports with commercial consulting services. Its catalog includes side-by-side and over-under shotguns, lever-action models and tactical semiautomatics. Its participation in SHOT Show and IWA reflects the company's efforts to expand its presence in international markets.

EGE Arms LEVAR12S: Short-throw lever action and Magnum chamber
The LEVAR12S is chambered for 12-gauge, 3-inch “Magnum” shells. Operating the lever beneath the receiver cycles the bolt, making this a manually operated repeating shotgun. The manufacturer describes the lever as ergonomic and having a short throw, while the magazine release features controls on both sides of the gun.
The barrel measures just 10.6 inches (approximately 270 mm), contributing to the LEVAR12S's compact size. According to the manufacturer's documentation, the shotgun accepts both 2¾-inch (70 mm) and 3-inch (76 mm) shells, including birdshot, 00 buckshot and slugs, as well as Magnum loads.
Ammunition is fed from detachable box or drum magazines, with capacities of 5, 10 or 20 rounds depending on the configuration.

Different stocks and finishes for the LEVAR12S
The LEVAR12S is offered with either walnut or polymer stocks. The former provides a touch of traditional styling, while the latter emphasizes the contemporary character of the design. The metal handguard incorporates M-LOK accessory mounting slots, and a continuous Picatinny rail extends along the top of the receiver and handguard. The available finishes further distinguish the various configurations. EGE Arms offers several Cerakote finishes, including versions with rusted or distressed effects, as well as a nickel-finished model. Cerakote is therefore not used on every variant.
Available versions include:
- LEVAR12S-Walruscop: Rusted Copper Cerakote finish, with an oxidized copper appearance and walnut stock.
- LEVAR12S-Waldisgray: Distressed Gray Cerakote finish, with an aged gray appearance and walnut stock.
- LEVAR12S-Syngray: Tactical Gray Cerakote finish, with a polymer stock.
- LEVAR12S-Synrusblue: Rusted Blue Cerakote finish, with an oxidized blue appearance and polymer stock.
- LEVAR12S-Synnck: Nickel finish, with a polymer stock.
Standard equipment includes folding iron sights, a vertical foregrip, three interchangeable choke tubes, a hex wrench and a door-breacher-style muzzle device. EGE Arms positions the LEVAR12S primarily for home defense and recreational shooting, including practical shooting disciplines. The result is an unusual interpretation of the lever-action shotgun, combining detachable-magazine feeding with a distinctive appearance and a broad choice of configurations.

U.S. availability and legal classification
The LEVAR12S, with its 10.6” barrel and shoulder stock, falls within the federal definition of a short-barreled shotgun (SBS) – an NFA regulated firearm. EGE Arms also offers the longer-barreled LEVAR12, a magazine-fed lever-action shotgun with an 18.6-inch barrel, which has been marketed in Canada.
At the time of writing, there is no confirmation that either version will be officially distributed in the United States. No U.S. release date or suggested retail price has been announced.
