A premium factory lever-action rifle chambered in .357 Magnum that blends Marlin heritage, Mad Pig Customs enhancements, and Midwest Industries furniture and sights: the new Model 1894 Mad Pig Customs delivers a ready-to-run custom-style lever gun straight from the factory. The rifle also reliably feeds a broad range of .38 Special factory loads, of course, making it a highly versatile option for the range, field, or defensive use.
Marlin Mad Pig Customs Model 1894 enhancements

At its core, the rifle stays true to Marlin’s proven Model 1894 architecture, with the receiver, lever, and trigger guard plate CNC-machined from alloy steel. The 16.1”/409 mm cold hammer-forged alloy steel barrel features six grooves, a 1:16 right-hand twist, and a 1/2x28 threaded muzzle. The barreled action is finished in Magpul OD Green Cerakote, adding both corrosion resistance and a distinctive “tacticool” look.
The muzzle is fitted with the Angled Spade Technologies Scepter-PB, a compact, low-profile radial-ported muzzle brake designed for modern lever-action rifles. It is compatible with Plan B suppressor adapters and requires no timing, offering a clean, practical suppressor-mounting solution where permitted.

Mad Pig Customs upgrades are found throughout the rifle. The company’s grip inserts provide secure purchase and a custom appearance, while the enhanced lever allows smooth, comfortable cycling with a distinctive angular profile. A tool-less enhanced takedown screw simplifies field stripping, and the upgraded magazine follower – machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and treated with a Nickel Teflon coating – is designed to improve reliability, hardness, and lubricity.
Furniture and sights come from Midwest Industries. The aluminum stock includes a generous rubber recoil pad, adjustable comb height, M-LOK slots for accessory or shell-holder mounting, and QD sling swivel sockets. Up front, the hard-coat anodized 6061 aluminum handguard incorporates a full-length Picatinny rail and a rugged sighting system with an elevation-adjustable steel front post and a fully adjustable heavy-duty ghost ring rear sight.
The tubular magazine loads through the traditional receiver-mounted loading gate and holds 8 rounds of .357 Magnum or 9 rounds of .38 Special. The rifle's overall length is 34.5 inches (138.5 cm), length of pull is 349 mm, and weight is about 3.3 kg. Safety features include a positive push-button cross-bolt manual safety and a traditional half-cock hammer.
