When speaking of roller-delayed blowback firearms, the first thing that comes to mind is probably the Heckler & Koch MP5 or the G3 rifle. This time, however, we are talking about the all-new Taurus RPC (Roller-delayed Pistol Carbine), the company’s first entry into the dedicated 9mm PDW segment. At the heart of the gun is a roller-delayed operating system, a choice that enhances reliability while significantly reducing perceived recoil. The result is a smoother, more controllable shooting experience, especially during rapid strings of fire. Built to NATO standards, the Taurus RPC is designed to keep operation intuitive and setup straightforward while delivering the adaptability expected from a contemporary personal defense weapon.

Taurus RPC, modularity and ergonomics

Constructed from lightweight, hard-anodized aerospace-grade aluminum alloy and finished in Cerakote, the Taurus RPC feeds from 32-round 9 mm magazines and is offered in two configurations: the standard model with rear Picatinny rail end plate, and the version equipped with the Strike Industries folding brace.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, with the bolt release/lock and magazine release easily accessible from either side. The non-reciprocating charging handle is reversible, allowing the platform to be configured to the shooter’s preference rather than forcing the shooter to adapt to the gun.

The RPC also offers strong modularity. A full-length Picatinny top rail provides ample room for optics and other mission-essential accessories, while the M-LOK handguard allows users to tailor the platform to their needs. A 4.5”/114 mm threaded barrel comes standard, and the quick-change barrel system adds long-term flexibility for future configuration options. At the rear, a vertical Picatinny rail allows for additional attachments and is offered either as a standard end plate or paired with a Strike Industries FSA folding brace for increased stability without sacrificing compactness.
The RPC features a single-stage flat-faced trigger and an AR-15-compatible soft rubber overmolded grip. Three integrated quick-detach sling attachment points provide added versatility for carry and retention.
MSRP for the Taurus RPC is $939.99. If you prefer the version equipped with the Strike Industries FSA folding brace, then the price is $1098.99.
