Beretta 80X Cheetah Tactical Special Edition, comped performance

A sleek dual-tone finish featuring a black slide, barrel, textured grips, and magazine base pad, paired with a bronze anodized frame: the Beretta 80X Cheetah Tactical Special Edition is certainly not lacking in style. What the latest iteration of Beretta's recently revived .380 ACP platform adds is a tactical flair in the form of a factory-mounted compensator and the extended 15+1 magazine capacity thanks to +2 base pads.

More than a cosmetic exercise, the Tactical Special Edition is in fact a refined carry pistol with DA/SA trigger engineered for superior control, fast handling, and everyday usability. The lightweight Vertec-style aluminum frame combines compact dimensions with a snag-free profile, while the optimized frontstrap and backstrap checkering provides a more secure purchase. The extended beavertail, skeletonized hammer, and combat-style trigger guard further enhance handling, as well as its up-to-date modern aesthetics.

The 80X Cheetah Tactical Special Edition's highlight is the factory-installed single-port compensator that, together with the extended magazine with 15-round capacity, takes the 80X concept in a more performance-driven direction

Up front, a red fiber-optic front sight delivers rapid sight acquisition; rear sight is black serrated. The slide is easy to rack thanks to the deep sawtooth serrations at both the front and rear. A lightweight recoil spring helps make slide manipulation even more effortless.

Interchangeable sights add flexibility, and the removable optics cover also makes the pistol red-dot-ready. The integral two-slot Picatinny rail allows the installation of a light or laser aiming device.

The heart of the gun is the DA/SA trigger system, with carefully finished internal components that contribute to a level of smoothness and repeatability that is immediately noticeable on the range. Overtravel is adjustable down to 1 mm, allowing the shooter to fine-tune the trigger.

Controls are fully ambidextrous, with a frame-mounted thumb safety incorporating a decocker, while the magazine release is reversible to accommodate either right- or left-handed users with equal ease.

With three magazines supplied as standard, the 80X Cheetah Tactical Special Edition marks a further adaptation to modern requirements and will be officially launched in June 2026. Price starts from 995 euro.
