IWA OutdoorClassics 2022: trade visitors, exhibitors and journalists are eagerly awaiting the "live trade show"

The video on the current state of preparations for IWA OutdoorClassics 2022: shortly before the official opening of the trade fair, Rebecca Renn as event manager IWA OutdoorClassics, Georg Loichinger (PR Officer IWA OutdoorClassics), Anna-Catharina Heller (event manager HUBANA) were welcomed to Hall 3C and were interviewed by Roland Zobel for the industry magazine WM-Intern. Rebecca Renn (formerly Schönfelder) answered all relevant questions about the IWA 2022. Here follows further information that is important for exhibitors and visitors.

Just under 3 weeks before the start of the event, preparations for the IWA OutdoorClassics 2022 are in full swing. In the current video interview, Rebecca Renn once again addresses exhibitors and visitors directly: "IWA OutdoorClassics 2022 is going ahead!" With this, the gaze is eagerly turning to Nuremberg and those involved are increasingly looking forward to the reunion on European soil.  “Unlike the SHOT Show in the US, IWA has a different target group, with a more international public. These are the people we want to see again after an absence of two years. It’s time to gather again and be creative, interact and feel fully motivated."

"That’s why we are looking forward so much to IWA 2022," says Bernhard Knöbel, the managing director of Carl Walther GmbH. Eyck Pflaumer, Managing Partner UMAREX Group, is also positive about the upcoming IWA after SHOT Show 2022:  “The SHOT Show illustrated the fact that nothing can beat personal contact with customers and business partners. IWA will now give us the opportunity to exhibit our products to an international public and establish or cultivate business relationships, all in an attractive, state-of-the-art setting,” he says. Currently, about 1,000 exhibitors have registered for IWA 2022. Let's take a look at the overall offering – and specifically at what's new.

Discover the "Game Lounge" at IWA OutdoorClassics

IWA OutdoorClassics 2022: trade visitors, exhibitors and journalists are eagerly awaiting the "live trade show"
The Game Lounge in the open-air catering & community area offers a rustic outdoor atmosphere for the whole industry – for personal exchange during and after the exhibition. Deepen your conversations with game specialties, selected drinks and music.

Relax during the day or sit together in the evening. All this can be easily combined at the IWA OutdoorClassics in the open-air catering & community area also in 2022. Here you have the opportunity to spend an unforgettable day or evening on the exhibition grounds under an idyllic, rustic and convivial setting on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Various catering stands serving mainly game dishes, comfortable seating by the fire, outdoor lounge areas and pagoda tents invite both exhibitors and visitors to linger. Registration is required to enter the lounge, and seating is limited. The highlight event on Friday evening: the "Wild Host" Jonas Baumgärtner and Michelin star chef Valentin Rottner will offer an exclusive insight into the world of game preparation in their twin function as hunter and chef. The live cooking will take place in compliance with the 2G rule (vaccinated/recovered). Here you can find all information about the Game Lounge.

IWA OutdoorClassics 2022: trade visitors, exhibitors and journalists are eagerly awaiting the "live trade show"
In a few days, the doors will open for what is sure to be a very special IWA OutdoorClassics 2022 – after a two-year break, but with a fresh and secure concept.

A trade fair at pandemic times must be subject to special strict hygiene and protection measures in Germany. The omicron wave is not yet completely over, but the risk is decreasing daily – virologists and politicians tell us. This will therefore have little influence on the success of the trade show and the number of visitors. Rebecca Renn suspects: “The important thing is to meet again and interact in person – while observing the rules on hygiene this year. That is something we will have to deal with, and it will not affect the results the exhibitors achieve at the event,” the event manager said. “You won’t regret attending!” is her unequivocal conclusion in the interview.

The safety of all participants is the top priority at IWA OutdoorClassics 2022, according to the trade show organizer. Trade visitors are permitted to enter only upon presentation of a valid vaccination certificate or proof of recovery. A current test result must also be submitted at the access control point. Visitors are required to wear an FFP2 mask everywhere at the event venue. For exhibitors and journalists, entry to IWA OutdoorClassics 2022 requires a vaccination certificate, proof of recovery, or a test certificate. Masks are also mandatory for exhibitors and journalists.

All information on the permitted vaccines, testing opportunities on-site and exceptions to the mask requirements is available at https://www.iwa.info/en/exhibition-info/protective-measures
