In this auction at Hermann Historica, which will take place from Monday 28 April to Friday 9 May, 2025, three days will be of particular interest to the passionate gun collector: on Wednesday, 7 May, the "Arms & Armour, and Antique Firearms" auction will take place. According to the auction house, antique firearms will also be included in this catalog for the first time. The auction will then continue with "Historical and modern firearms" from 8 to 9 May 2025: here, fans of more modern guns will be able to bid on 2,140 items. We have taken a look at the firearms highlights from the two auctions and offer a (naturally incomplete) selection of the highlights.

Spring auction at Hermann Historica: armour, edged weapons & antique firearms – Deluxe flintlock pistols
One of the highlights in the field of antique firearms is lot 5741, which includes a pair of deluxe flintlock pistols from the armoury of the Elector of Bavaria Charles Albert. These were made around 1740 by Johann Gottfried Kolbe in Suhl. The pistols are characterised by richly decorated silver furniture, intricate gold inlays and fine walnut stocks. The starting price for the lot is 12,000 euros and they are an outstanding collector's item for lovers of historical firearms.

Under auction number 7611, an exceptional example of gunsmith's art is being offered: a Korriphila HSP 701 in the rare full Damascus design with a 5-inch sport barrel. This pistol, manufactured by Intertex Maschinenbau GmbH, is unique and combines precision with high-quality workmanship. This is evidenced by the ray skin scales and fine bluing. The pistol comes in a leather case with the original documents. The starting price is 19,000 euros.

Lot 7638 is a rare Mauser C06/08 experimental pistol with flapper lock. This model never went into series production and only a few prototypes exist. These differ in details. The minimum bid for this special piece is 22,500 euros. A matching leather case is included in the price.
An original Mauser M1918 anti-tank rifle is also up for auction as lot 9587. The largely preserved original bluing increases the value and attractiveness of the powerful bolt-action rifle. Bidding for the legendary Tankgewehr, together with accompanying technical literature and accessories, starts at 13,800 euros.
