In mythology a Valkyrie was a female figure in the service of Odin who decided who could die or survive in battle. This small flashlight for military, tactical, and defensive use can actually make the difference in a specialized use in an operational context.
Technology put to the service of sports shooters or professional operators, thanks to a light with a beam distance of up to 918 ft/280 m, 1500 lumens max brightness output, USB recharge – just to mention some of the main features of this small, but powerful tactical flashlight to be used on both short and long guns. The Valkyrie PL-Pro flashlight can be recharged in a quick and easy way in an hour and a half by connecting it to any PC. A red light confirms that the charge is in progress until it turns green when fully charged. The PL Pro has a runtime of about 90 minutes ensured by a 900mAh 3.6 V lithium polymer battery. The PL PRO is very light, just 3.25 oz/92 grams. It can be quickly installed on any Picatinny rail and also comes with an adapter for MIL-STD-1913 rails, together with the two necessary Allen screws for mounting. According to the manufacturer, the PL-Pro is compatible with most common guns such as GLOCK, SIG Sauer, Walther, Smith & Wesson, CZ, Steyr, Canik, Beretta models.
A versatile flashlight also on long guns
The flashlight, however, also lends itself for use on long guns. We have even tested it on a 12-gauge shotgun, firing heavy slug loads to test its resistance to extreme stress.
The housing protects the flashlight in case of accidental falls, and is IPX6 waterproof.
Impressions were very good. Thanks to its small size, the flashlight is very comfortable and easy to operate. By pressing the control buttons simultaneously, the flashlight enters the strobe mode.
The PL-Pro is equipped with a Cree XHP 35 HI NW LED. it can be programmed to switch on momentarily or on and off, at the second button press. It can also be used at medium (300 lumens) or high outputs (1500 lumens) – the strobe mode obviously works in the latter mode.
The flashlight is shipped in lock mode. The first time it is switched on, the user will choose the desired settings.
