F.A.I.R. X-Light Snipe, the shotgun for walking hunters

Weighing below the critical 2.3 kg in 12 gauge (and approaching 2.1 kg in the 20-gauge version), the F.A.I.R. Xlight Snipe over-and-under is a shotgun designed for hunters covering long distances in rugged environments, where every ounce, or gram, saved translates into less fatigue and greater clarity when shooting. The action, made of high-strength Ergal 55 aluminum alloy used in the aerospace industry, features a nickel-plated finish that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also acts as a barrier against the oxidation typical of light alloys when in contact with dust and moisture. Despite its light weight, the F.A.I.R. Xlight Snipe retains the cross-bolt locking system combined with a double under-lug, ensuring a solid lock even after prolonged use.

The action of the F.A.I.R. Xlight Snipe
The action of the F.A.I.R. Xlight Snipe is made of high-strength Ergal 55 aluminum alloy to save weight. It features gold-inlaid pheasants in flight on the sides, with a woodcock on the receiver bottom.

The name "Snipe" clarifies its intended use: quick snap shots in environments where visibility is limited and reaction time is minimal. The Snipe features 61-cm barrels, and the technical configuration includes a Paradox-rifled first barrel and a second barrel fitted with interchangeable Technichoke chokes. The rifling of the first barrel allows for fast shot spread, creating a useful pattern even at 10-12 meters, ideal for those hunting in the woods.

The shotgun features a selective single trigger, but the more classic double trigger is also available.

To save precious grams and improve cooling, the side ribs are absent (the barrels are coupled only at the monobloc and at the muzzle), while the top rib is ventilated. The pistol grip stock is crafted from European walnut selected for its low density but high rigidity, with fine-pitch laser checkering to ensure a comfortable grip even with sweaty hands or gloves in winter. The over-and-under is available in 12 gauge and 20 gauge.
