An over-and-under that comes in total black, with a blued steel receiver in two different finishes, one matte satin and one polished, which highlight and pleasantly contrast the contours and hinge pins.
The sober elegance of a gun with a recognisable aesthetic identity, but fundamentally designed for practical and field use, to be enjoyed in different environments and types of hunting without the worry of having to safeguard a product with delicate details. Available in 12-gauge with a 76 mm magnum chamber, the Lincoln Game over-and-under is made by F.A.I.R. with various technical features for the hunting public and with customised stocks, reduced weight and shorter barrel lengths in the Lincoln Game Lady model for female hunters. Overall, the shotgun is standard in weight at about 3 kg and 2.9 kg for the Lady model, but some details are important, such as the thinner pistol grip in the Lady model stock, the revised measurements of the shorter buttstock, which facilitate swinging by decreasing not only the weight but above all by allowing female hunters rapid and smooth movements and aiming.

We had the opportunity to field test the Lincoln Game over-and-under in the company of Rebecca Rizzini, with the chance to see the shotgun in action used by her and also to try it out on the clay pigeons of the sporting course. The technical features that distinguish the over-and-under shotguns of the Lincoln line are those generally shared by the over-and-under shotguns of F.A.I.R. production, which meet with the appreciation of the hunters in many countries around the world. The receiver is machined from a solid forged steel billet, the trigger is single selective with a selector on the slide at the rear of the receiver; a double trigger version is available on request. The hammers use coil springs machined from solid billets and have half cock. Cartridge case ejectors are selective automatic. The barrel system features X-Cones with elongated forcing cones to achieve shot swarm greater velocity and compactness, for a better final ballistic result with a good distribution of the shot pattern and also a milder felt recoil on the hunter's shoulder. The wood used to make the pistol grip stock and fore-end in the classic Schnabel design are select European walnut and sport the FX-Wood finish that highlights the grain and gives the gun a more elegant appearance. The fine double checkering is laser-made. The recoil pad is made of rubber and has a good thickness to improve muzzle flip reduction.

The Licoln Game Lady line designed for the female users features shorter stocks and barrels. The stock length of the Lincoln Game is 368 mm, while the barrels are available in lengths of 68, 71 and 76 cm equipped with internal and interchangeable chokes. In the Lady model the barrels are 66 cm long, a versatile length that can be used in various types of hunting, while the stock length is 340 mm, making it easier to aim.
With Rebecca Rizzini, we wanted to test the Lincoln over-and-under on both single and double clay pigeons in the sporting discipline, appreciating how the gun, although not very light, is very stable when fired and very accurate in follow-up shots. Tested in a version with 71-cm barrels and 3 and 2 star chokes, the Lincoln proved to be a solid firearm to be enjoyed both when shooting at medium ranges reminiscent of duck and wood pigeon stalking hunts, and in instinctive and shorter range shots of clay pigeons that simulated the flight of partridges and pheasants. By using 28-gram loads with 7.5 lead shot designed for Trap, the clay pigeons were broken in a consistent and neat way, showing a good pattern distribution even at medium and long ranges. Lying in the entry level segment in F.A.I.R. production, we can say that Lincoln Game over-and-under shotguns represent a very interesting solution to be taken into consideration both for those hunters who live the hunting season facing different places and game with the need for a versatile shotgun, and for young hunters who are looking for a reliable and rugged gun with a good quality/price ratio to gain experience and live the first fundamental hunting seasons with peace of mind.
