We already gave you a brief introduction to the Manul M6 riflescope family around six months ago together with a large company portrait of Night Pearl Sport Optics, the Czech optics manufacturer and supplier that make these scopes. We have now had the opportunity to extensively test one of these riflescopes in the field. We chose the Manul M6 2.5-15x50I, which should be suitable for use as an all-round scope for different types of hunting and possibly also for different scenarios on the shooting range. But before we clarify whether this is really the case, let's first take a look at the optical and technical features of this riflescope.
Night Pearl Manul M6 2.5-15x50I: design specifications

The magnification range of the Manul M6 extends from 2.5x to 15x and thus offers flexible adaptation to different distances and conditions. In practice, it can be used when shooting quickly at short ranges, for example when driven hunting: the low 2.5x magnification enables a wide field of view, which makes it easier to keep track of moving game. At longer ranges, for example when hunting from a hide, the 15x magnification offers precise target acquisition and a detailed view, which is advantageous for accurate shots at more distant targets and makes it easier to aim just before the shot. The variable magnification range makes the riflescope extremely versatile.
The 50-mm objective lens of the Manul M6 ensures good light transmission, resulting in a clear image even in difficult lighting conditions. In practice, this is particularly helpful when hunting at dusk or in adverse weather conditions when light conditions are unstable. The larger lens diameter guarantees image brightness so that the game remains clearly recognisable even when darkness sets in. According to the manufacturer, the light transmission is 92 % in daylight and 88 % at dusk.

The illuminated reticle in the second focal plane has six different brightness levels, which supports aiming in changing light conditions. In practice, this enables clear target acquisition at dusk or in open areas with diffuse lighting conditions. The illumination levels can be precisely adjusted to the surroundings, ensuring that the illuminated dot/crossis optimally visible without dazzling. The position of the reticle in the second focal plane means that the size of the reticle remains consistent regardless of magnification. This is advantageous when shooting at variable distances, as the shooter does not have to adjust to changing reticle sizes.
Night Pearl equips the Manul M6 2.5-15x50i with a fast throw lever, zeroable turrets and parallax compensation
An adjustable parallax compensation minimises parallax errors and ensures that the image remains stable even with small head movements. This is a practical feature for shots at 100 meters and more, as is common when hunting from a hide, in order to maintain a fixed target image and increase shooting accuracy. The parallax compensation of the Manul M6 can be adjusted from 10 meters, which is also helpful for sports shooting at shorter ranges.

The turrets of the Manul M6 can be zeroed and allow for a quick return to the zero position after adjustments. In practice, this is advantageous if the shooter is operating in different types of terrain and has to make frequent adjustments. After elevation and windage adjustments, it is possible to return to the starting position easily and safely without losing the original hold point. This function makes it easier to return to the original point of impact.
The quick zoom lever (throw lever) allows the magnification to be adjusted quickly and intuitively, which is an advantage in dynamic hunting situations. A practical example: if game suddenly appears in a different direction, the shooter can change the magnification immediately and without taking his eyes off the target. This lever is designed so that adjustments can be made quickly during use, saving the shooter valuable seconds and increasing reaction time. The throw lever can be fitted or removed by the user.
The housing of the Manul M6 is made of a durable aluminum alloy and is waterproof to a depth of 2 metres for up to 2 hours. This water resistance is a valuable feature for hunters who regularly use their equipment in the rain or in wet terrain. The design also protects the riflescope from mechanical influences and ensures a long service life, even in demanding outdoor conditions.
