For 2021, Austrian company Kahles has unveiled a range of new products that we'll be introducing to you over the next few days. Let's start with a product designed for hunters, namely the RD-C red dot sight. This is a compact and rugged sight featuring a special anti-reflective lens coating that provides the best image quality across the entire field of view. The red dot precision ensures a reduced target coverage and can be adjusted with four (+1) levels according to ambient light. In particularly poor lighting conditions and with backlighting, the Max Light function helps with the activation of an extremely bright dot. The "Automaticlight" automatic switch-off ensures optimized use for ideal energy saving when the sight is not in use. The red dot correction per click corresponds to 0.275”/7mm on a target at 50 meters. From 40 meters upwards, the image is parallax-free.
New and particularly useful, for example when hunting wild game that is able to defend itself, is the special Safe Light function. This function prevents the unintentional change of the selected brightness level of the illuminated dot and deactivates the automatic switch-off until manual reactivation. Power is supplied by the classic CR2032 lithium battery.
The robust construction of the sight guarantees an extremely long and safe use on the one hand, and on the other hand also makes it simple and intuitive. Flip up covers and a Picatinny mount with quick release fastener and screw lock ensure overall maximum reliability.
