Among the many international companies in the sporting cutlery sector exhibiting at the last SHOT Show in Las Vegas, Civivi is certainly one of the up-and-coming ones. At its botth they were displaying all the new products introduced in the first part of 2025, and we decided to show you a fixed blade knife designed for hunters and hikers. It is called the Timberbark and is available with handles in different materials: Micarta, G10 or natural wood, and the latter is in the latter version that we present it to you.
The Timberbark is a fixed-blade knife with full tang construction, made from 14C28N stainless steel, known for its corrosion resistance and edge-holding capacity. The drop point profile blade is 82 millimeters long and a 3 millimeters thick. Grind is flat and on the back of the blade we find two short knurled sections that make it safer to rest the fingers on when using the knife to skin a wild animal. The blade is hardened to 58-60 HRC and has a satin finish, but the versions with G10 and Micarta handles have a black stonewashed finish.
The handle on the version photographed is made of Bubinga, a very durable tropical wood that offers a secure and comfortable grip and gives this version a slightly retro look that will certainly appeal to users with more orthodox tastes. The length of the handle is relatively compact: 94 millimeters. This makes the Civivi Timberbark an ideal choice for users with smaller than average hands. The handle ends in a wide lanyard loop through which a Paracord braid is attached as standard, making it considerably easier to remove the knife from the sheath.

The knife is equipped with a high-quality black Kydex sheath, which ensures safe and customisable carrying thanks to the T-Clip quick-attach system designed by the great American knife maker Bob Terzuola. The Timberbark sheath can be worn vertically on the belt or on the backpack shoulder straps, and allows for it to be rotated to find the most comfortable position. The Civivi Timberbark is available in several sheath material and blade finish variants. With an overall length of 175 mm and a weight of 85 grams, it is compact and lightweight, ideal for those looking for a reliable and versatile knife for everyday use. Price is $70.
