This active ear protection by M3 / Peltor is especially adapted to the needs of soldiers. It fits under the helmet and doesn't disturb when used while firing a rifle. Interfaces allow the connection to communication systems i.e. on squad or group level; the boom microphone has a noise suppression feature.
The soldiers of the Bundeswehr already have adopted the Peltor ComTac XP earmuffs.
