2026 marks the 250th anniversary – or semiquincentennial – of the United States of America. To celebrate 250 years since the signing of the US Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, Sturm, Ruger & Co. is introducing its new 250th Anniversary Series, a limited-production lineup that celebrates both the nation’s milestone and the company’s longstanding commitment to American manufacturing. Inspired by the iconic commemorative models released for the US Bicentennial in 1976, every firearm in the new series is roll-marked with the inscription “Made in the 250th Year of American Liberty” and some models also have special aesthetic features. As pointed out by Ruger itself, beyond its historical significance, the series also acknowledges the freedoms protected by the Second Amendment, which have played a defining role in the American story for two and a half centuries.
The initial rollout spans several of Ruger’s best-known product families, offering commemorative editions of the 10/22 rifle, LCP MAX pistol, Ruger American Gen II rifle, Mark IV 22/45 pistol, Super Wrangler revolver, and AR lower.
Ruger's "250 Years of American Liberty" Series: The models
In detail, there are three special versions of the 10/22 rifle: one version features a "Made in the 250th Year of American Liberty" engraving on the receiver; besides the engraving, a second version also comes with a freedom-inspired American “Liberty Blue” synthetic stock with red/white splatter; the third 10/22 250th Anniversary model, on the other hand, sports an intricately engraved Altamont walnut stock. Prices range from $359 to $679.

The Ruger American Rifle Generation II in .308 Win. commemorates America's 250th Anniversary with the already mentioned “Liberty Blue” stock; the "Made in the 250th Year of American Liberty" engraving is on the receiver. MSRP in the US is $769.

A Liberty Blue frame with red/white splatter finish, together with the "Made in the 250th Year of American Liberty" engraving on the slide, characterizes the special-edition LCP MAX pistol in .380 Auto, priced at $399.

For the 250th anniversary edition of the .22 LR Mark IV 22/45 pistol, the commemorative engraving is on the frame (price: $475), while in the 250th Edition of the Super Wrangler revolver in .22 LR/.22 WMR it is on the barrel (price: $339).
Lastly, the limited edition stripped AR lowers, machined from 7075-T6 forgings with a hardcoat anodized finish, just feature the special "Made in the 250th Year of American Liberty" marking on the left side and carry a suggested retail price of $129.
The 250th Anniversary models are designed not only for use in the field today, but also to endure as collectible heirlooms for future generations, combining practical utility with commemorative value.
